Everyday we meet business owners, professionals, artists and creatives. Photographers, florists, realtors and more. They might come from different backgrounds, work in different industries, have varying personalities, and have vastly different income and educational profiles, but the one thing we’ve seen over and over again is that most people have a unique and special reason for why they do what they do. From a realtor helping families afford the first home he always wished for as a kid to a photographer using her skills to give a voice and face to victims who feel voiceless, we have been blown away by what happens when you just ask people a simple question – why do you do what you do?

Throughout my lifetime, I’ve experienced an immense amount of grief, whether that be a family member that passed, losing a friend, a loss of innocence, or an end to something important in my life. Grief is never easy to cope with. Something that always helped me during these hard times was looking back at photos of those times, to appreciate all the good that came from it and all that I learned from it, instead of focusing on the loss. I became a very sentimental person and found myself capturing moments that meant a lot to me, so that I can hold onto it and cherish it forever. I want others to have that experience. Read more>>

I discovered my husband’s affair standing in the kitchen May 2013. We had been married 16 years, best friends for 21 years, when he stared at me and flat out said, “I love you, but I’m not in love with you.”
Over the next few days, while he was buzzing around joyful with a new life with a woman I called “horseface,” I struggled to simple things like: breathe. Read more>>

Our mission is truly about serving people first for genuine connection and long lasting effect. This came from a place of knowing our purpose as a company, how we can impact those who work with us on our team, to our event guests and beyond. When I started the company I knew I wanted it to be unique and shaped from the good experiences I had with previous leaders and take the lessons learned from past disappointments and traumas. Unfortunately, we’ve all had a negative work experience that may have lead to a small, big, or traumatic impact on our lives. Read more>>

The mission behind Le Feu Skin is to heal and hydrate skin in the most non toxic and natural way. The story behind my mission is that after I was burned, the doctors encouraged me to use non scented lotion and eat fatty foods to help with skin regrowth, but I wasn’t sold on the idea. I checked labels on scar creams and non scented lotion and the ingredients lists shocked me. I was pretty into a clean, non toxic lifestyle to begin with and so I decided to research and come up with my own product. I never intended to sell my lotion or make it a brand, but after the miracle healing it performed on my own skin, I had to share it with others. I wanted others to know they could heal burns, prevent scarring, and hydrate their skin with non toxic ingredients that actually work. I’ve done the research, I’ve trial and errored for many years getting this lotion right and I know it works. Read more>>

Even early on in my Photography career (2016) I kept seeing an extremely frustrating pattern: there were simply too many people missing out on capturing life’s meaningful moments – whether that be weddings, graduations, anniversaries, etc. – because professional photography was priced so far out of reach. At the time, photographers, at least in my area, seemed to be charging rates that simply didn’t feel affordable.Read more>>

I felt helpless, with no recourse and no system in place to protect me. Read more>>

At Golf and Gospel, our mission is to bridge the gap between faith and sport, using golf as a platform to have meaningful conversations about life, purpose, and the good news of Jesus Christ. This mission is deeply personal because, after playing six years in the NFL, I experienced firsthand how easily identity can get tied to performance and status. When that chapter ended, I wrestled with what was next. Golf became an outlet for me to stay competitive, but more than that, God used it as a space for reflection, growth, and connection.
