Everyday we meet business owners, professionals, artists and creatives. Photographers, florists, realtors and more. They might come from different backgrounds, work in different industries, have varying personalities, and have vastly different income and educational profiles, but the one thing we’ve seen over and over again is that most people have a unique and special reason for why they do what they do. From a realtor helping families afford the first home he always wished for as a kid to a photographer using her skills to give a voice and face to victims who feel voiceless, we have been blown away by what happens when you just ask people a simple question – why do you do what you do?

My mission is meaningful because it intertwines creativity, empowerment, and connection. Through graphic design, I have the unique ability to bring people’s visions to life—whether it’s telling the story of someone’s life, branding a business, designing a music album, or promoting an event. This work goes beyond aesthetics; it’s about capturing the essence of what someone is trying to communicate and making it resonate with their audience. Read more>>

Many people know us as the Heels and Fitness community, but our brand is officially called His Ambitious Girl LLC. Our motto is: “WE WORK FOR GOD, NOT MAN.”
Our mission? To instill Godfidence in women, one dance and fitness session at a time.
Hi, I’m Kayla Nicole Armstrong, the founder of this amazing community. Dance has been a part of my life since I was four years old, but fitness didn’t come into the picture until after I became a mom. Like many mothers, I faced the challenges of postpartum struggles. In the midst of that hardship, God opened a door for me. One night, I heard a whisper: “Heels and Fitness.” That whisper sparked something in me. I stayed up researching the safety and potential benefits of dancing in heels, and the very next day, I laced up my heels and got moving. Read more>>

It’s Love Y’all: Spreading Love, One Note at a Time.
Seventeen years ago, my life changed overnight. Unrelenting, constant head pain that was the worst pain imaginable became my new normal. My old life was over, and a new journey had begun. Nothing was seen on x-rays, and the pain and I became a mystery to everyone. For more than a decade of this time, I was completely bedridden, as being upright made the unbearable pain even worse. For me, my mission stems directly from my own story—one shaped by heartbreak, hope, and the power of connection. I lost both of my parents to opioid addiction when I was a freshman gymnast at Rutgers University, and while navigating that loss, I came face-to-face with the stigma, shame, and isolation that often surround addiction. But it also ignited a desire in me to turn my pain into purpose by helping others find their voice and strength in their own stories. Read more>>

Our mission at EMPRESSOFATLANTA is to get people to fall in love with the beauty of handmade items and to boost individuality, the artful eye and craftsmanship through crochet.
My Mom taught me how to crochet when I was 7 years old and a woman with one arm taught her. Only my Mom could tell a story like that. She taught me the two stitches she knew which were the single crochet and the double crochet. Read more>>

The story behind my mission, Capturing Confidence, Celebrating You, is deeply personal. Growing up, I didn’t always feel confident in my own skin. I was a shy, quiet child, and my middle and high school years were marked by bullying. Those experiences planted seeds of doubt that were hard to shake, and they made me feel like I wasn’t enough. From a young age, I’ve been deeply passionate about music. I grew up listening to a wide variety of genres, often watching music videos on YouTube and MTV, drawing inspiration from the artists I admired. This inspiration led me to sing, dance, and even rap—whether I was at home or out in public. Over time, I taught myself how to play basic chords on the guitar so I could perform the songs I loved. My mission behind this business was born from a deeply personal and painful experience that doesn’t get mentioned much. On May 18, 2022, I lost my father – which was an incredibly difficult moment in my life, right after the loss of my mother. One of the hardest parts was realizing that his passing could have been prevented, or at least made more manageable, if he had planned better financially. He didn’t have the financial resources to cover a hospital visit, and it ultimately cost him his life. Read more>>

One of the ways we do that is by sending a free, encouraging Care Package to anyone that reaches out on our website. I was a stay at home mom for 15 years. I have four kids, and I was home with them from the time the oldest was born until the youngest started school. Once they were all out of the house every day, I needed something to fill my time. But I also knew I wanted that to be something that I really felt was worth it to me. So I decided to pursue my Masters Degree in Social Justice and Human Rights. I started the program thinking I was going to work with refugees, but by the end I had shifted my focus to the topic of violence against women. In my early life, before I met my husband, I had a a lot of first-hand experience with domestic violence, sexual abuse, rape, and emotional abuse. Violence against women was a topic that I knew well, and decided I needed to go that path instead. One of the last classes I took was on human trafficking, and something about the issue just really called to me. I’m not sure why. Maybe because it felt worse than my own experiences? Read more>>

I created grungingpumpkins in October 2023 on Instagram. The name is a tribute to two of my favorite things, Grunge music and The Smashing Pumpkins and is the place for bands and artists to be heard.
Since October 2023 I have gained a steady following and expanded to TikTok, X, Threads, and Groover. The mission is to support/promote/showcase these bands and artists. By providing that service in addition to doing music reviews, it is my hope these bands and artists will gain fans/bigger following and grab people’s attention, whether it be a label, management company, and much more. In 2015, my life changed dramatically. My health, which had already been fragile from battling chronic Lyme disease, hit a breaking point. I’ve witnessed the power of words to inspire change, bring people to tears, part with their time or money to support a cause or others in need, and make a difference. After a decade of working in content and communications, from magazine editorial to corporate communications, and later development and marketing in the nonprofit sector, I realized that I care more about doing meaningful work with great people than climbing the corporate ladder. So, I quit my day job and created Sprig, where the mission “do good with words” reigns supreme. Read more>>
Angela Gill Nelms

At The AGN Group, we believe every individual, team, and company can unlock their inner badass, one brave step at a time. About 14 years ago, the founder, Angela Gill Nelms, decided to go from running her first 5K in one year to racing in her first IronMan the following year. On this journey, she was repeatedly told she was crazy—no one does that. Angela was familiar with this kind of doubt, as she had heard similar remarks at 29. As a single mother of a special needs 2-year-old, she chose to return to Georgia Tech to pursue her degree in Biomedical Engineering. Angela ignored the naysayers, including the voices in her head, and she went for it. As she prepared for her IronMan, she began encouraging others with her self-made hashtag #BeBraveBeBadass. Poseidon K9 provides a quality-vs-quantity approach to balanced dog training for the dog owners of the Lowcountry.
Through my vast experience of working with hundreds of different working dogs, from the country’s most elite military groups, to one of the most recognizable service dog charities in the country, to working breeds living in homes, I’ve learned you cannot force a dog to do anything and have lasting results. You’ve got to motivate that dog by something s/he wants, and your relationship is the foundation to that. Balanced training teaches the dog the behaviors, AND provides a reason WHY the dog should do the behavior for you. Read more>>

I remember when I was a kid, I spent hours upon hours outside. I was outside from sunrise to sunset, no matter the weather. I just loved watching the clouds skip across the sky, listen to the birds sing a song, and the adventures that existed under every treetop. But what I really remember and enjoy the most was having a BBQ outside with my family; whether we were on our family boat or in our own backyard. There was something about the smell of the fresh air as I munched down on salty french fries or the sound of my neighbors playing next door as I took the last bite of my hamburger. Read more>>

At Undivided, our mission is rooted in a deeply personal experience that continues to shape everything we do. Many years ago, my family in Hong Kong was introduced to a promising real estate investment in New York City. We trusted the process and the professionals guiding us, only to be left abandoned during a critical point in the transaction. As foreigners unfamiliar with New York’s complex real estate landscape, we faced unforeseen challenges and costs, all while feeling unsupported by those who had promised to help. Read more>>
