We were lucky to catch up with Amanda Parker recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Amanda thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
My mission is meaningful because it intertwines creativity, empowerment, and connection. Through graphic design, I have the unique ability to bring people’s visions to life—whether it’s telling the story of someone’s life, branding a business, designing a music album, or promoting an event. This work goes beyond aesthetics; it’s about capturing the essence of what someone is trying to communicate and making it resonate with their audience.
In the Beauty & Esthetic world I aspire to mentor young women in skincare and self-esteem, my mission focuses on empowerment & royalty—helping individuals and organizations express their true identity and stand out. In a world where self-expression and individuality are often challenged by societal pressures, my work allows people to feel seen, understood, and proud of their message.
By instilling values like faith, integrity, and self-worth through Esthetics, I create a nurturing environment where creativity can flourish. Each project has the potential to inspire, uplift, and make an impact, not just for the client but for their audience as well. My mission is to create a ripple effect, empowering others to embrace their uniqueness, tell their stories confidently, and pursue their goals. This is what brings me true joy and fulfillment in my work.

Amanda, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
In 2018, I graduated from L’esprit Academy in Royal Oak, MI, with a focus on esthetics. Born and raised in Detroit, MI, my passion for the beauty industry began at the age of 10. Despite facing challenges, I remained determined to pursue my dream and build a meaningful career in beauty and design.
Founder of Heiress Beauté Esthetics
In 2020, I founded Heiress Beauté Esthetics to serve Metro Detroit. My business is more than just a service—it’s my mission. As a licensed esthetician, I specialize in makeup, facials, and waxing for all occasions, using quality products like Maybelline Fit Foundation and Dermalogica, which work beautifully with all skin types and tones.
My journey into esthetics was inspired by my lifelong commitment to skincare. Growing up, I experimented with natural ingredients and herbs to create masks and regimens that enhanced the skin’s natural glow. People often complimented my clear skin, and I enjoyed sharing my knowledge with others, knowing that skincare is not a one-size-fits-all solution.
My Passion for Graphic Design
My talents go beyond beauty. I have always had a passion for graphic design, inspired by my mom, who created custom cards and flyers using early computer programs. Watching her encouraged me to develop my own skills in drawing and design.
In high school, I joined the Business Professionals of America Club and participated in competitions that helped me refine my craft. Over the years, I have used my creativity to support organizations, designing flyers, planning events, and creating content. Even while working as an administrative assistant, I found opportunities to use my artistic talents to make an impact.
I credit my father for teaching me the importance of excellence and hard work. He always reminded me to give my all, double-check my work, and do everything with integrity. This has shaped how I approach every project and opportunity.
I also believe that whatever talents God blesses you with, you should use them fully because His gifts will make room for you. When you do your work with integrity and care for others, your contributions will stand out. Genuine, dedicated people are rare, and I strive to be someone who prioritizes the well-being of others and the success of the organizations I’m a part of.
Ultimately, my desire is to serve my community through creativity in a way they’ll never forget. Whether it’s through art, design, or inspiring others, I want my work to leave a lasting, positive impact.
A Mission of Empowerment
My mission goes far beyond offering beauty services. I am deeply committed to empowering individuals, especially young women, through mentorship and training. My goal is to create a nurturing environment where they can build confidence, develop skills, and embrace their inner beauty.
Through my faith-based business, I aim to instill values of faith, integrity, and self-worth, helping others recognize their potential and shine from the inside out. I offer training, coaching, and opportunities for individuals aged 16 and above, building a community of support and growth.
Workshops and Community Engagement
At Heiress Beauté Esthetics, I host workshops and networking events to help individuals advance their careers and make meaningful connections. These programs cater to a wide range of interests and skill levels, ensuring that everyone has the chance to thrive.
My Aspiration
My ultimate aspiration is to serve my community through creativity and excellence. I believe that by using the gifts God has given me, I can inspire others to embrace their uniqueness and achieve their dreams.
For me, it’s not just about enhancing appearances—it’s about helping people realize their full potential and create lasting impacts in their lives and communities.
“A man’s gift maketh room for him, And bringeth him before great men.”
Proverbs 18:16 KJV.
If we carry that wisdom with us every day, striving to be a blessing to others and to create a legacy of empowerment, faith, and creativity. Success will be your destination and that beyond just financial success.

How’d you meet your business partner?
In 2024, I was actively searching for a building or multi-suite space to rent for my business. I came across a location that seemed perfect, but unfortunately, the company chose not to complete the necessary plumbing due to cost. The process was stressful and disappointing, leaving me to wonder if I was rushing or letting my anxiety take over. I decided to step back, wait on God, and seek His guidance before making my next move.
That summer, I joined a new church called Greater Works. During the new members’ class, I ended up sitting next to a woman named Tonya Martin. We struck up a conversation, and it quickly became clear that we were kindred spirits. We shared some of the challenges we were facing and talked about the visions we had for our businesses.
As we continued to connect, Tonya shared that she owned a successful nail salon in Grosse Pointe, MI, called The Nail Box Day Spa, which had been thriving for seven years. Our connection felt so divinely aligned that we decided to collaborate. We formed a partnership with the goal of expanding her business, growing our team, and eventually franchising in the near future. Meeting Tonya was not only a blessing but a confirmation that God’s timing is always perfect.

Have you ever had to pivot?
When I first entered the beauty industry, I started as a shampoo assistant at a barbershop called Dashop in Warren, MI, working for a barber named Johnny Cooper God rest his soul as he passed new years was a well respected mogul in the community. Cooper was incredibly supportive of my dreams and believed in my potential. In fact, he moved out of his suite and allowed me to rent his spot while he relocated to the open floor area of the shop.
At the time, I was still building my clientele, and it was a challenge—especially since many men viewed certain services, like skincare, as “too feminine.” I worked hard to shift that mindset, emphasizing that skincare and hygiene are essential, especially after a haircut. To attract more clients, I added services like massages, which piqued their interest and encouraged them to book.
Even with my growing passion for the beauty industry, I couldn’t do it full-time yet. I had to maintain a 9-to-5 or part-time job to stay financially stable while building my business.
In 2020, just as COVID-19 began to upend the world, I decided to make another push to put myself out there. Cooper, who also owned a production company, encouraged me during this time to rent the building he was in due to him relocating told me about the building he was moving out of. So me and past a significant other of mine invested in
the building turned it into a beauty, retail and recording studio. While still maintaining my 9-5 covid wasn’t as rapid at this point but still in affect, However, the pandemic forced me to reevaluate and pivot. It was a tough season, but it taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of staying committed to my vision despite setbacks. These experiences shaped me and prepared me for the opportunities I have today. Learning how to operate and manage my first building location with tenants, I faced obstacles with not having the means of finances to be able to complete inspection the so that building could be noticed by the public. It taught me so much about how we should request W-9 from The Landlord to claim it in your taxes and providing your tenants that are sub leasing a MISC1099 form. Always investigate and ask questions about the property. You be surprised how many slumlords you come across. And how it can affect you because your building may not be up to code. which caused us to come to a decision to move out and revert back to traveling to my clients.
