Social media is the only way I market myself, and I feel like quality over quantity is what I focus on. My clients who hire me are mainly regional, so it doesn’t benefit me to have a million followers if they aren’t people who will hire me. I try to Be authentic and show who I really am, what my personality is, and I’m confident that a social media company would not be able to achieve this. I do set limits on time on social media. I manage my social media completely on my own. I really started amping up making real connections with people who followed me during Covid. I’m a very social person, so I used my pages to stay connected and made many new lasting friendships. The algorithm is always changing, so I listen to a lot of podcast trying to stay in with the times. Social media makes it easier to keep in flow with my clients as well. I would never consider using anyone to run my pages, because it’s how I network. I don’t try selling through my page, I use it to make connections. I dont believe that there is anyone wrong with using a company, but I actually enjoy running my page and engaging with others. Read more>>

I manage my own social media. Because I am also a full-time student, I do not have a set social media schedule, but I like to post when I know people of my age group will be online. I also try to keep up with trending, sounds on Instagram as well as modern graphics that will engage my audience. While social media can sometimes be discouraging, it is the main source of new clients and customers for me, so I am very grateful for the exposure that it gives. Read more>>

Although I have previously entertained the idea of possibly hiring a social media manager in the future I currently manage my own social media platforms. I realize the benefit to having a team or company manage my social media is time I’ll save which will allow me to focus more on my creative process. But then I think about how much of a control freak I am about my business and I’m not sure that I’m ready to put that responsibility in the hands of someone else quite yet (LOL). Read more>>

As the one-woman-show running this small business, “Social Media Manager” is included as one of the many job titles I have to hold. Website design? That’s me. TikTok editing? That’s me. Scheduling constant posts and reels? That’s me. I know how important social media outlets are to any business and I do try to make online presence a priority. But let me tell ya… Never do I feel older than when I try to keep up with ever-changing trends and expectations in social media. Read more>>

I do all my own social media. Three instagram accounts, over five Facebook biz pages, a couple fb groups, Snapchat, and tik Tok. It is time consuming but each platform generates a different customer base and I change it up on each platform. Many times I can make one story and share it to every platform. Stories is where it’s at and much quicker because you don’t add a comment to it, and you don’t have any comments to respond to! Read more>>

Social media is definitely not something I grew up with. I feel I have a love hate relationship with it given my age, I feel most of us do. Managing your own social media is a job in itself that I have not mastered yet. I admire those younger generations who make it look so easy. The content and creativity they come up with is so inspiring. It’s not second nature to me to share my life on camera. I’ve always been the one behind the lens. Read more>>

Social media is a large part of my business. As apps like Instagram and TikTok increase in popularity, it is important for me to utilize these tools to help grow my business. I started off by posting my artwork and designs to Instagram. I had to learn how to use hashtags, reels and other tools in order to grow my audience and reach. Truthfully, social media can be tricky to navigate and definitely takes time but in the end is well worth spending the time to learn. Planning out posts, reels and other social media campaigns has helped me to manage the stress that social media can cause. Read more>>

Running a small business is very time consuming and keeps you very busy. Most of my advertising and connections are done on Facebook and Instagram. The need to create new posts for engagement and marketing is difficult for me because I’m usually doing photo sessions, post processing, taking with clients, having meetings, etc. Plus I work a part-time job and I’m a parent. Sometimes I wish I had the ability to hire a social media marketer, but it’s just not feasible. Read more>>

Social Media is a full-time job, however I find time to fit it in. With assistance from my daughter, I try to keep my 2 main platforms Instagram & Facebook current as possible with posting content. Keeping up with Social Media trends is a challenge. One day it’s still photos, the next it’s videos or reels to keep your audience engaged and continue returning to your page to see your latest post. Besides Instagram & Facebook, we’re also present on TikTok and You Tube. Read more>>

I manage my own social media, but it sure is a lot of work. My largest follower base is on Instagram, so that’s where I spend the most of my time. Instagram, however, has a lot of expectations. From consistent photos in stories to feed posts with photos, videos, and Reels, there’s a lot to keep up with. I’m at the point where my goal is to “do what I can, when I can.” I don’t stress if I miss a day or two of posting, but if I’m feeling especially inspired, I’ll go all out and make a fancy video with fun music and transitions.
