Deshundria, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s talk about social media – do you manage your own or do you have someone or a company that handles it for you? Why did you make the choice you did?

I manage my own social Media and I manage select social media platforms for others as well.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I’m Deshundria Lee; Shaye Lee in the business world. I am what you’d call a Portfolio Entrepreneur. I am owner and main operator of 8-Twenty LLC, where we provide many branding, Consultation and promotional services. I am also owner and main operator of The Bar; A home based salad Bar that is locally known for our loaded salads. As of August 2022 I will be adding to my portfolio as I launch 8-Twenty GLAM and its first line of skin care products. In addition to my portfolio of businesses I am also Founder of BELLA women’s Empowerment organization.

From day one my main goal has been to place myself in position to help and motivate others. I am very open about my experiences in starting business. I took many losses working with dishonest individuals and I wanted to be that honest person that start up businesses needed.

Can you open up about a time when you had a really close call with the business?

COVID hit me hard. Businesses weren’t able to fully operate so many entrepreneurs weren’t in need of alot of the services that I provide. Demand for certain products dropped, contracts were put on hold and some even canceled.

Any advice for managing a team?

Communication Communication Communication! Not only do you need to communicate with your team, encourage them to connect with each other. Better communication early on will help avoid misunderstandings and poor results later.
