My first project is called “Sinestesia Create” (Synesthesia in Spanish and Portuguese) for a reason. This is the ability to see connections between elements that seem to have no connection between them. For example, to see the color of each musical note and hear the sound of each color. This ability helps me to understand the Creation a bit better and share this wisdom with people. Read more>>

“Catchall Concierge” felt like the perfect fit because I provide many different services for my fellow entrepreneurial clientele —project management, virtual assistance, and practically anything within the purview of top-notch customer service; Catchall Concierge takes care of it. My background includes several years of performing live onstage. Whether it’s one of my one-woman shows or a new business venture, I start my creative process by selecting a name or title that captures the essence of what I’m doing; finding the purpose or narrative I wish to engage and explore is my favorite part of the process; it tends to be my guiding light. I came up with the name “Beyond Soul” because it represents the range and depth of my culinary experiences. While soul food is at the heart of what I do, my background extends far beyond that. I was classically trained, and I also spent several years studying Islamic studies in Senegal, West Africa, where I developed an appreciation for its rich culinary traditions. This combination of formal training and cultural influences allows me to create a diverse array of dishes, truly going beyond just soul food. Read more>>

One night, at dinner, my young son and I discussed potential names for my brand of facial health and beauty exercise tools when he said, “Mom, just call your brand BEAUTY BALLOON.” At that time, I worked with a manufacturer that makes interventional medical-grade balloons for patient procedures such as angioplasty, esophageal dilatation, and other invasive medical procedures in the hospital setting. So, when deciding on a name, I never imagined my product would end up not being a medical-grade balloon. Nor did I know my product would ultimately form a triangle. After multiple failed attempts at working with differently shaped medical-grade balloons, the site of an architectural structure inspired me to move beyond the medical-grade balloon space. Well before this business here in Texas, I had a small one store business in Utah that i had to sell when my husbands job brought us to Texas. The name of that business was Pampered Pooch. That is the name i planed on using when i opened here in Texas. But it was already taken by a exsaplisthed grooming store in Denton. We ran through alot of names and friends and family had lots of suggestions. Nothing seem to fit. Then one day while i ws still working corporate and i told a customer of mine that i was looking at opening my own shop, she said “Well Hot Diggity Dog”. I was like that is it! I went home talked it over with the family and we all decided that was the name we would go with. Read more>>

Unite Worldwide, Inc. was formed when I was a junior in college several months before my father had passed away. I was studying biology and chemistry and was planning on going to dental school. My junior / senior year of college, I realized that Dental school wouldn’t make me happy and fulfilled, so I started thinking outside of the box. I realized that this world that we’re living in was created by other humans and their own ideas… and then I thought why is there so much chaos in this world? I then started asking more questions. Who is creating all of this? Why is this our main focus? Where is the hope in this world? Then I decided to create that by creating Unite Worldwide, Inc. by being the first step in uniting this world. Read more>>

The name of my company, Delectable Desserts Galore LLC, has its roots in a name I had been using since my college days—Delectable Desserts. When COVID-19 hit, I decided to turn my side hustle into an official business to help supplement my income. However, when I applied to the Secretary of State to register the name, I found that it was already in use by another local baker. To find a new name that still represented the essence of my brand, I turned to online name generators. I entered my original business name and reviewed several suggestions. After narrowing it down to about eight potential names, I asked a few trusted friends for their input. The consensus was that “Delectable Desserts Galore” best captured the spirit of my business, and that’s how it became the new name. Read more>>

My family and I were looking for an escape from California about 10 years ago. We decided to search for a historic home in the South East. We landed on a lovely property in Newnan, Georgia. It’s a 40 acre plot of land with a beautiful Federal style historic home, built around 1840. The property is called The Grove. I designed it to have some vintage and some modern pieces. It, along with the other gorgeous homes around here, made me appreciate mixing the old with the new. When I decided to move to Newnan, Georgia full time in 2022, I hoped to open a store where I could carry an eclectic mix of upscale furnishings and decor. When that store came to fruition in late 2023, there was only one possible name, The Grove. Read more>>

The name “Taking Kara You” came about during a time when I was burnt out in almost every area of my life. It was at the beginning of the Covid times. I was a wife, mother, and a full-time hairstylist and manager of a salon that I didn’t feel fully accepted in. On a day off, I was cleaning up my home realizing I was taking care of everything else in my life besides myself. I started to wonder what that even meant or looked like to take care of yourself first. This started a journey to figure that out for myself. I was watching people on the news during the pandemic, feeling vulnerable + showing their “imperfections” as salons were shut down and grays started to show up. They asked hairstylists to come back to work to address their grey hair with no regard to our health. Read more>>

How did I come up with my name, very interesting story. I was putting on an event for my church, their first Women’s Tea Event and I took the lead on the decorations, when everything came together, my Bishop said, you have an act for this. Then I ponder on what he was saying, and when I looked back I did do my own wedding decoration. I really liked coming up with the vision and bringing that vision to life, it made me feel happy and felt like. I can do this. I start to think of a business name, where I wanted my last name to be a part of it. So, I came up with Perfection of Phillips with initial of POP, I thought of the popping of champagne bottle and the slogan is “Everything goes well with POP. Read more>>

Dino Daisy Play Cafe is a truly unique name, and its origin holds a special place in our hearts. When my sister and I first floated the idea of opening a play cafe, we involved our entire family, especially our kids—ranging from 7 years old and younger. Since it’s a space designed for children, it was important to us to hear their input. We asked them to come up with a few fun name ideas, and when they suggested “Dino Daisy,” we knew it was the one. The excitement on their faces told us it was perfect, and we felt other kids would feel the same joy. Read more>>

My business journey began about four years ago, with the birth of my baby in August 2020. Initially named “WAISTED by MJ,” it reflected my focus on handmade waist beads. These beautiful pieces of body jewelry are worn by women for various reasons, such as embracing their inner beauty, tracking body changes, and enhancing overall wellness. In my second year, I decided to rebrand to better represent the evolution of my offerings. What started with waist beads expanded into a diverse range of crystal jewelry, including bracelets, anklets, and earrings. I also began curating intuitive self-care baths, oils, and self-love boxes, along with offering intuitive readings to my community. This transformation led to my new name: “Waisted Bespoke Healing.” The term “bespoke” signifies a tailored approach, perfectly capturing the personalized healing services I provide to my clients. When I was trying to name my business, I STRUGGLED for weeks. I am such a perfectionist and tend to overthink everything I do. I knew that I wanted my social media management company to become more than a one-person show at some point. So naming it “Sarah Maxey Management” or something along those lines didn’t feel right. Plus, when I get married one day I didn’t want to go through the whole rebranding process if I didn’t want/have to. Read more>>
