We were lucky to catch up with Kathryn Taylor Rose recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Kathryn Taylor, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?
“Catchall Concierge” felt like the perfect fit because I provide many different services for my fellow entrepreneurial clientele —project management, virtual assistance, and practically anything within the purview of top-notch customer service; Catchall Concierge takes care of it. My background includes several years of performing live onstage. Whether it’s one of my one-woman shows or a new business venture, I start my creative process by selecting a name or title that captures the essence of what I’m doing; finding the purpose or narrative I wish to engage and explore is my favorite part of the process; it tends to be my guiding light.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
As early as primary school, storytelling was a passion of mine. From my journey as an actor, I learned about the power of presentation and how crucial it is for people to show up authentically in their business and life. In high school, to pay for the essentials: gasoline, clothes, tickets to concerts and shows, and Phantom of the Opera-inspired decor, all that my teenage self required, I became an administrative assistant, and those skills carried me through college and post-grad, eventually leading me to create Catchall Concierge.
Entrepreneurship runs in my family. As the daughter of two business owners, I grew up seeing the hard work and dedication it takes to build something from the ground up. I even helped set up my mom’s marketing business’s admin and project management side. Watching her juggle it all sparked my love for creating systems and supporting those who need help balancing their workloads.
At Catchall Concierge, I tailor my services specifically to busy entrepreneurs. I take pride in being the support system that allows my clients to focus on their dreams while I handle the details. My blend of practical skills and creativity sets me apart from others and will enable me to approach each client with personalized solutions that reflect their unique story.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Word of mouth is powerful, and when people see my impact on their projects or businesses, they’re excited to refer me. LinkedIn has also been a game-changer, allowing me to connect with like-minded entrepreneurs who need help managing their workload. Referrals are currently the lifeblood of my business. Building genuine relationships and showcasing my work to others is necessary because my clients need to trust me to help them achieve their goals.

We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.
Yes, my side hustle turned into my full-time business, and it’s been an incredible journey! For years, I worked on Catchall Concierge in the background, balancing it alongside full-time jobs but always dreaming of taking it to the next level. When I was laid off from my last position, it felt like a turning point. Instead of viewing it as a setback, I saw it as the perfect opportunity to pursue my passion.
I was fortunate to have an incredible support system—my partner, Timothy, encouraged me every step of the way. I also enrolled in New York’s Self-Employment Assistance Program (SEAP), which provided me with the resources to make the transition smoother. One of the most significant milestones in this journey was working with my coach, Tom Hartman. He helped me find the confidence to embrace this business and see its potential.
Scaling Catchall Concierge has been a mix of strategic growth and personal development. It went from something I managed in my spare time to a full-service operation that helps entrepreneurs stay organized, focus on their goals, and feel supported. Looking back, I’m incredibly proud of how far the business has come—from those early side hustle days to now being fully self-employed and helping others turn their dreams into reality!
