Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Julia Mason. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Julia thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. One deeply underappreciated facet of entrepreneurship is the kind of crazy stuff we have to deal with as business owners. Sometimes it’s crazy positive sometimes it’s crazy negative, but crazy experiences unite entrepreneurs regardless of industry. Can you share a crazy story with our readers?
One of the craziest, most life-altering moments in my business came in the form of something I never planned for — a surprise fourth pregnancy.
At the time, I felt like I had finally found a rhythm. My business was growing, my offers were clear, and I had three young children at home. We had even gotten rid of all our baby things. In my mind, that chapter was complete.
So when I found out I was pregnant, it genuinely shook me.
There was a moment — a very real, very human moment — where I didn’t go straight into trust or empowerment. I went into fear. I remember thinking, How is this going to work?
How do I hold my clients, my business, my family… and now this new life?
There were tears. There was overwhelm. There were moments of questioning everything I had built.
And the truth is, I couldn’t hold it all on my own.
This is where everything changed.
Instead of isolating or trying to “be strong,” I let myself be held. By my mentors. By my sisters. By the women in the very spaces I had created and been part of. I was honest about where I was. I didn’t perform having it all together. I let people see me in the middle of it — the uncertainty, the stretch, the surrender.
And that became my superpower.
Because in being real, I created even deeper connection. In allowing support, I expanded my capacity to receive — not just emotionally, but in my business, in my life, in every way.
I made a conscious decision in that season: this gets to expand me.
I simplified my business. I refined my offers. I became incredibly intentional with my time and energy. I stopped operating from pressure and started leading from trust. I let my life and my business work together instead of against each other.
And something unexpected happened.
My business didn’t fall apart — it deepened.
My work became more embodied. More honest. More powerful.
The spaces I held became richer because I was living everything I teach in real time — trust, surrender, receiving, support.
That season stretched me in ways I never thought possible. Not just as a business owner, but as a woman, a mother, and a leader.
Looking back, I can see so clearly: I was able to rise into that moment because I was held.
It wasn’t about doing more or figuring it all out perfectly. It was about allowing myself to be supported enough to choose expansion instead of contraction.
What felt like it could have derailed everything… became one of the most defining chapters of my life and business.
It taught me that vulnerability isn’t a liability in leadership — it’s the doorway.
And when you stop trying to hold everything alone, you create space for something far greater to meet you.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m Julia Mason, founder of Enthusiasm Lab — and at my core, I help women become the version of themselves their business requires.
My path into this work wasn’t linear. I spent over 17 years supporting women in first the beauty space and then the marketing space, which gave me a front-row seat to something deeper: women didn’t need more tips or tactics — they needed to feel safe being seen, confident in their voice, and connected to who they really were. I could always see their potential before they could, and over time that became the foundation of everything I do.
A few years ago, I went through my own transformation. I immersed myself in inner work — feminine embodiment, nervous system healing, intuitive development, and spiritual connection — and it completely shifted not only my life, but how I approached business. I realized that so many women were trying to build aligned, successful businesses from a disconnected place within themselves. And no amount of strategy can sustain something that isn’t rooted in truth.
That’s when Enthusiasm Lab was born.
Today, my work blends coaching, mentorship, brand strategy, and website design — but what makes it unique is that I don’t separate the inner work from the external results.
I offer 1:1 mentorship for women who are ready for deep, identity-level transformation. We look at everything — how they show up, what they believe is possible, how they lead, and how that translates into their messaging, offers, and visibility. I also lead a group container called The High Vibe Collective, which is a powerful space for women to grow alongside each other with consistent support, reflection, and expansion.
On the strategy side, I support clients with brand development and website design — helping them translate who they are into a clear, elevated, and aligned presence that attracts the right clients. This isn’t just about aesthetics. It’s about resonance. It’s about creating something that feels like them and works.
The problem I solve is the disconnect so many women feel between their vision and their reality. They know they’re meant for more, but something isn’t clicking — whether it’s their message, their confidence, their structure, or their ability to be fully seen. I help them close that gap.
What sets me apart is the depth of the work and the spaces I hold. My clients aren’t just getting strategy or mindset support — they’re stepping into environments where they are seen, supported, and challenged to grow in a real way. There’s a level of honesty, safety, and expansion that allows transformation to happen, not just temporary motivation.
I’m also deeply committed to integrity in how I build my brand. I don’t teach things I’m not living. Some of the most defining moments in my business, including navigating a surprise fourth pregnancy while leading and growing my work, have become the very things that deepen my leadership and the way I support others. I lead from real life, not perfection.
What I’m most proud of is the ripple effect of this work. The women I support go on to build businesses that feel aligned, sustainable, and true to them — and that impact extends into their families, their communities, and the way they lead in the world.
If there’s one thing I want people to know, it’s this:
You don’t need to become someone else to be successful.
You need to become more of who you already are… and have the right support to bring that fully to life.
That’s the work. And that’s what Enthusiasm Lab is here for.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
If I’m being honest, it wasn’t one big strategy or breakthrough moment — it was a pattern of how I show up.
First, I do the work I invite my clients into. I’m not teaching from theory. Whether it’s navigating growth, raising my prices, refining my offers, or even moving through something as personal as a surprise pregnancy while leading a business — I’m living it in real time. People can feel that. There’s a level of trust that comes when your work is embodied, not just taught.
Second, I built my reputation through depth, not volume. I didn’t try to reach everyone. I focused on serving the women in front of me at a very high level. Those women got results, felt deeply supported, and naturally became advocates for my work. Most of my growth has come through referrals and relationships, not constant pushing or chasing.
Third, the spaces I hold are different. I’ve been very intentional about creating environments where women feel safe to be honest, to be seen, and to grow. That level of safety and truth is rare — and it creates real transformation. When people experience that, they talk about it.
Another big piece is consistency and integrity. I follow through. I care deeply about the experience people have in my world. I’m not here for quick wins or surface-level success — I’m here for sustainable, aligned growth. Over time, that builds a reputation that people trust.
And finally, I’ve allowed myself to be seen as I evolve. I haven’t waited until everything was perfect to show up. I’ve shared parts of my journey, my growth, and even my challenges in a way that’s honest but intentional. That realness has created connection — and connection is what builds a brand that actually lasts.
If I had to sum it up, my reputation was built by being in integrity with my work, caring deeply about my clients, and choosing depth over noise every single time.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been simple, but not always easy: going above and beyond for the person right in front of me.
Instead of focusing on constantly chasing new leads, I’ve put my energy into delivering an exceptional, deeply supportive experience for each client I work with. I care about their results, their growth, and how they feel in the process. That level of attention and integrity creates trust — and people talk about that.
Because of that, the majority of my clients come through word of mouth. Referrals, introductions, and organic conversations have been the strongest driver of my growth.
I think there’s a tendency in business to look for the next big marketing strategy, but what’s worked for me is focusing on depth over volume. When someone feels truly seen, supported, and transformed in your world, they don’t just stay — they naturally invite others in.
That ripple effect has been far more powerful than anything I could have forced.
