Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Dalia Amine. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Dalia, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
One of the most meaningful projects in my career has been creating cultural and educational travel experiences that connect international visitors with the true spirit of Egypt beyond the traditional tourist perspective. What began as a personal passion for archaeology and heritage gradually evolved into a mission to present Egypt through authentic storytelling, historical depth, and human connection.
The project became especially significant during challenging periods for tourism, when rebuilding travelers’ trust and redefining the visitor experience required resilience, creativity, and dedication. I focused on designing personalized journeys across Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan that combined academic insight, cultural immersion, local community engagement, and safe travel experiences, particularly for women and families.
What makes this work deeply meaningful to me is the impact it has on people. Many travelers arrive in Egypt with curiosity, but leave with a profound emotional connection to its history, culture, and people. Seeing visitors describe their journeys as life-changing experiences, and receiving outstanding recommendations on international travel platforms, has been one of the greatest rewards of my career.
For me, this project is more than tourism—it is a way of preserving heritage, building cultural bridges, and sharing the timeless story of Egypt with the world.

Dalia, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I began my professional journey at the intersection of tourism and academia, driven by a deep passion for ancient Egyptian history and cultural heritage. My academic path led me to specialize in Egyptology, where I pursued advanced studies and earned a doctoral degree in the field. This foundation not only strengthened my scholarly perspective but also shaped my approach to presenting history in an engaging and meaningful way.
Parallel to my academic career, I started working as a licensed tour guide, offering curated experiences that combine historical accuracy with immersive storytelling. Over time, I expanded my work into designing and operating specialized tours across Egypt, including Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan, with a particular focus on cultural depth, authenticity, and personalized service.
My business gradually evolved to cater to a diverse international clientele, including individuals, families, and women travelers seeking safe, insightful, and unique experiences. By integrating academic knowledge with practical field experience, I have been able to create a distinctive model that bridges education and tourism.
Today, I continue to develop my work both as an academic and a tourism professional, aiming to promote Egypt’s heritage while delivering high-quality, meaningful travel experiences that leave a lasting impact on visitors.

Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
I began my career with a strong academic foundation rooted in a deep passion for ancient Egyptian civilization. I pursued specialized studies in Egyptology, ultimately earning a doctoral degree, which provided me with both scholarly depth and a refined understanding of Egypt’s historical and cultural heritage.
At the same time, I was drawn to the practical side of sharing this knowledge with others. I started working as a professional tour guide, where I was able to translate academic research into engaging, accessible narratives for international visitors. This dual path—academic and professional—allowed me to develop a distinctive approach that combines intellectual rigor with immersive, personalized experiences.
Over time, I expanded my work into establishing my own tourism business, designing and operating curated tours across key destinations such as Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan. My focus has always been on quality, authenticity, and cultural insight, catering to individuals, families, and particularly women travelers seeking safe and meaningful journeys.
Today, I continue to bridge academia and tourism, using my expertise to create experiences that not only showcase Egypt’s monuments but also convey the deeper stories and significance behind them.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
One of the most defining moments in my journey was building my career in tourism and academia during challenging periods for the travel industry. Despite uncertainties and obstacles, I remained committed to my vision of presenting Egypt’s heritage in an authentic and meaningful way. Through persistence, continuous learning, and dedication to my clients and students, I was able to grow my work into a trusted professional platform that combines cultural education with exceptional travel experiences.
