Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Bre Ferguson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Bre, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
My journey started long before the podcast. In 2011, during my freshman year of college, I became a radio personality and hosted a show on our campus radio station. That experience sparked my love for storytelling, media, and connecting with people through conversation. After college, I interned at Carter Broadcast Group, also known as Hot 103 Jamz, in Kansas City, Missouri. I later co-hosted my own radio show called Level Up, where we highlighted local artists and creatives in the city.
When I relocated to Dallas, Texas in 2016, I stepped away from radio and focused on building a professional career in marketing and public relations. Although I was growing professionally, I still felt unfulfilled creatively and spiritually. That led me to seek opportunities outside of work that felt more purpose-driven. I became involved with nonprofit and community work, which eventually opened the door for me to begin leading Bible studies.
Around that time, I started thinking seriously about launching a podcast, but I honestly had no idea where to begin. I spent a lot of time researching online, watching interviews, studying other creators, learning what equipment I needed, and teaching myself how to record and edit content. I didn’t have formal training or a blueprint, just curiosity, faith, and the willingness to learn through trial and error.
Eventually, after I stopped hosting Bible studies, Let It B the Podcast was born. My experience leading Bible studies evolved into a platform centered around testimony, healing, faith, identity, and real life conversations. I wanted to create a space where people could hear honest stories, not just polished success stories, but conversations about growth, struggle, purpose, and learning to trust God through every season of life.
In the beginning, I recorded episodes on an iPad with a $40 microphone from Amazon. It definitely didn’t happen overnight. The podcast grew slowly over time through consistency, experimentation, and simply continuing to show up. Looking back, the biggest step wasn’t having everything figured out it was deciding to start before I felt fully ready.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
I never imagined that ministry would become such a central part of my life, but now I honestly can’t imagine doing anything else. I’m a podcast host, speaker, storyteller, and creative who is passionate about helping people heal, grow, and walk boldly in who God created them to be.
My background is in communications, public relations, and broadcasting, which naturally led me into media and storytelling. But over time, my work evolved into something much deeper than content creation. Let It B the Podcast became a space for honest conversations around faith, identity, healing, purpose, and self-discovery. Through both solo episodes and guest interviews, I aim to create conversations that feel real, relatable, and transformative.
What sets my platform apart is the vulnerability and authenticity behind it. I’m not speaking from a place of perfection, I’m documenting my own journey in real time. I think a lot of people are afraid to start because they feel like they need to have everything figured out first. I’m proud that I started without a blueprint, took a leap of faith, and allowed myself to grow publicly along the way.
One of the things I’m most proud of is the impact the platform has had on people spiritually and emotionally. I’ve had listeners tell me that the podcast encouraged them to deepen their relationship with God, helped them through difficult seasons, or reminded them that they are not alone. Those moments mean everything to me because this work is much bigger than content, it’s about creating space for hope, healing, and truth.
As the platform continues to grow, my vision extends beyond podcasting. I want Let It B to continue expanding through speaking, mentorship, community outreach, workshops, and ministry initiatives that help people feel seen, encouraged, and empowered in their faith journey.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Starting my podcast was one thing, continuing it through some of the hardest seasons of my life was another.
Although the podcast has grown over the years, the journey has not been easy. A lot of the resistance I faced came from my own thoughts: feeling inadequate, fearing people’s opinions, and trying to carry everything while still showing up publicly as a leader. At the same time, I was navigating very real personal challenges behind the scenes.
Recently, I went through a season where I had to completely start over in my 30s. I felt led by God to let go of almost everything familiar, sell many of my belongings, and place the rest in storage. During that period, I wasn’t working consistently, and there were moments when life felt deeply uncertain. Although God continued to provide for me, there were difficult days where I genuinely did not know how things would work out financially or emotionally.
What made it even harder was that people often saw me as strong or inspirational without realizing what I was carrying privately. Yet somehow, through all of it, I kept showing up. I continued recording, creating, encouraging others, and sharing my faith even while I was still walking through uncertainty myself.
Now that I’m on the other side of that season, I’m grateful for it because it deepened my faith in ways I never expected. It taught me what it truly means to walk by faith and not by sight. It also gave me a deeper level of compassion and understanding for others who are struggling silently.
I think that season reminded me not to compare journeys. People often only see the highlights of someone’s life, but they have no idea what it took for them to keep going. Being six seasons into my podcast after everything I’ve experienced feels like a testimony in itself.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding part of this journey is hearing how the work has impacted people personally and spiritually. There’s nothing like meeting someone who tells me that something they heard on the podcast gave them hope, encouraged them during a difficult season, or inspired them to grow deeper in their relationship with God.
Moments like that remind me why I started.
For me, this podcast has never been about fame, popularity, or personal gain. At its core, it’s about obedience. I truly believe God placed this calling on my life to encourage people, create honest conversations, and help point others back to Him.
Being able to use my voice, my story, and my platform to impact people in a meaningful way is something I never take lightly. Everything else that comes with it; the opportunities, recognition, or growth is simply the bonus. The real reward is knowing that someone felt seen, encouraged, or closer to God because I chose to share my journey honestly.
