We met through a mutual friend’s yoga class in fall 2021 and quickly realized we’d be on the same yoga retreat that started two days later. We ended up bonding during the retreat and have been together ever since! While we were both on separate spiritual journeys at that point, they soon melded together with our practices of yoga, sound healing and tarot reading. Fast forward to now and we have created a business from our practices that has been such a joy to watch grow in our community. Read more>>

It is heart warming, when I look back at where I am coming from to where I am today. I was once this reserved girl, who never spoke about things I was/ had gone through.Until I became a Domestic violence Victim. And then seeing how much it had affected my whole life, also realizing this was happening to so many young women. I then realized God allowed me to go through that season so I could come speak out and about it.. I am a 36 year old Nurse by profession. But an advocate at heart. From my own experiences at a early age (20s).I had to battle, knowing I will have these memories to live with for the rest of my life. Read more>>

As a young girl growing up in Mississippi, I always envisioned myself as a mother with a house filled with children. However, life had different plans for me. As the years passed, I found myself at 44, still single, with my childhood dream seemingly out of reach. Yet, despite the passage of time, my longing to be a mother hadn’t diminished—if anything, it had grown stronger, becoming an undeniable force in my life. Read more>>

One story stands out to me, one I often reflect on with warmth. A woman came to me during a difficult time in her life. She felt lost in every aspect—her career, her sense of identity, and even her spiritual connection. She came to our first session in tears, unsure of how to move forward. We started slowly, focusing not on fixing everything at once but on small moments of healing. Each session, I encouraged her to explore her emotions through journaling, guided meditation, and simple acts of self-care. Over time, she began to connect with herself in a way she hadn’t in years, rediscovering her passions and purpose. She felt like she was reclaiming parts of herself she had forgotten. Read more>>

I was arriving to provide treatment at an inclusive camp for kids with special needs, in the mountains of Rising Fawn, Georgia. While walking into the main cabin area I noticed a camper with his head on his mom’s lap. This was someone I was familiar with so I immediately went to check on him. He was not very engaging and appeared upset. His mom and camp counselor sat angled toward him with concerned expressions. They had been offering him different games, toys, and activities but nothing was able to get him up and going. I told them I would set up my laptop and keyboard controller, then have him come over to produce a song. He agreed and shuffled on over when I was ready. Read more>>

I am the author of “Reconciled: #IGotwell” and I donated a couple of copies to the behavioral health agency I was working for. It is a faith based recovery book designed to provide some understanding of spiritual recovery. A young lady I was working with as a Case Manager (CM) asked to read a copy and I was glad to provide it. But there was a condition; she had to write a book report. She agreed. Seven days later I had a report in my hand. After facilitating the group she handed it to me and told me she really got something out of it, and that things just got hard accept or understand sometimes. I read the report and on the very first page at the bottom she writes “I don’t know where I want to go or what I want to do, all I know is this tho, I want to be sober, and I want to see my beautiful daughters. After spending my early 20’s living in Big cities like New York and New Orleans, trying out everything from modeling to acting, figuring out who I was and what I wanted to do, I felt burnt out and knew I needed to prioritize my health and well-being. Especially after dealing with Hashimoto’s and having a big thyroid crash several years before. In 2016 I decided to enroll in Massage school in Albuquerque, NM and became a Natural Therapeutics Specialist. It was like going to a hippie school. It was a vegan campus full of gypsies and all types of creatives. We learned several types of energetic modalities like Polarity Therapy, Chinese Medicine, Herbal Remedies, Essential Oils, we even studied with a Native Medicine Woman. Read more>>

Moms never have time for themselves. When moms come to my workouts, I know they are taking time away from their kids, their spouses, their responsibilities – maybe their house was a mess, maybe the kids cried when they saw mom walk out the door – if they show up at my gym, I want them to leave feeling strong, empowered, and like they got an hour to themselves. I had a mom the other day tell me proudly that she couldn’t do a single push up when she first started working out with me, and now she can do 8 in a row. When moms take care of themselves, they feel like better moms. Read more>>

Before becoming the Executive Director of Reach Out Foundations of Bucks County, I did Street Outreach and Case Management. I had two cases that were both family members, while attending funding meetings I was able to put them both up for funding. However, finding housing for these families seemed to be incredibly hard for a multitude of reasons. The families began to lose hope that they’d never find housing. For one case I worked directly with another agency to align the family with an appropriate affordable housing opportunity. One day, on my day off, I get a call from one of the families stating a landlord was willing to allow them to apply for the house. I reached out to the landlord, ensuring that the funding source would pay move-in costs, as well as subsidize her rent. The landlord drew up the lease, the family moved in and I was able to help this family break a generational curse of not being in stable housing for over ten years. Read more>>
