Owning a business is challenging – from increasing costs, regulations, competition and more the day to day of being a business owner if often far from glamorous. However, the reason so many of us do what we do is the moments when we are able to come through in a big way for our clients. The moments when we know we’ve made a real difference. Every entrepreneur we know wants to increase the frequency of those moments and so we think one of the best ways to do that is by having people share their stories with others – we can all learn from each other and become better recognizing and executing on opportunities to help our clients win.

Let me tell you about *Sarah. She got that management promotion she’d been grinding toward for years. You know the feeling, right? That moment when all your hard work pays off and you think, “I’ve made it!” But here’s the truth bomb: Sarah’s story mirrors what I see every single day. This rockstar employee, absolutely crushing it in her role, suddenly finds herself drowning in the deep end of management. And let me tell you something – this isn’t just Sarah’s story. This is YOUR story too, if you’re sitting there nodding your head right now. Three months ago, Sarah and I were out for coffee. “I love my business,” she told me, “but managing people? It’s tough.” She was doing that thing we all do – working way after work hours, letting every employee conflict feel like a personal failure, and carrying her laptop to bed like it was her security blanket. I was new in the city when I saw a post of a girl asking for someone that could take care of her two lovely schnauzers for about two or three weeks because she would be out of town on vacation. I decided to do it, and it worked out so well, she continued to leave her dogs with me and referred me to her friends. That reference lead to more and more customers . Soon after, I decided to open my business for boarding and day care with a special care for doggies. No crates and I tried to make them feel like they are at home. I had to move my business three times because we had too many customers . Due to the pandemic I had to shut down the business as people stopped traveling and did not need a daycare service as they were home all day. Afterwards, I studied to be a dog therapist and help people to improve their relationships with their dogs without training. My future goal is to go back into business and help people to solve behavior issues with their dogs. Read more>>

I will call the clients Mr. and Mrs. Jones for privacy. I met this couple many years ago. They had just purchased a home and had 2 children and were really happy with how life was going. The wife really saw the need to have protection outside of work. However, the husband felt like having it through work was good enough. To make a long story short, when I went back to their house to deliver the wife’s policy, I asked the husband if it was ok for me to share just a few reasons why having coverage outside of work was important and he agreed. I help people fall in love with English language. English seems difficult for most Russian speaking people, at least thats exactly how it’s taught at schools back in Russia. My mission is to prove otherwise teaching English through logic, associations, stories that are relevant for my students right here right now. So I’ve helped a big bunch of Russian speaking people break that wall and push through. Some of my most hardworking cases took about a year to get from knowing only a few words in English to speaking fluently, which eventually helped them build their business successfully in the USA, start dating and find a man they love. I’m particularly proud to be a part of their success and truly grateful to them for entrusting their eduction to me. Read more>>
