In our experience, talking about legacy is often subtly discouraged by society and we find this to be deeply unfortunate. Thinking about the legacy you would like to build can help you better align your work, life, time – your sweat and tears – with your values. Below, we’ve tried to create a space for folks to start conversations about they legacies they are hoping to build.

I envision my legacy as one that transcends time and borders, creating a ripple effect of healing, connection, and empowerment that touches all of humanity. I want to leave behind not just a teaching, but a movement—a collective shift in how we view ourselves and our relationships. It’s a legacy that bridges cultures, unites people, and fosters a shared commitment to living authentically and harmoniously with one another. Read more>>

Growing up on an small island located in Pacific, my people’s stories tend to be neglected when it comes to the narrative of Asian culture. I do not belong in an ethnic group that will immediately comes to people’s minds when they are addressing to Asians. However, I am very thankful of the soil that nourished me and taught me lessons in my early life. Read more>>

Producers and storytellers have a unique privilege and responsibility to shape how people see the world. Our work isn’t just about entertaining audiences; it’s about informing, inspiring, and sometimes even challenging perspectives. Early in my career, I was drawn to broadcast journalism because it’s a pillar of democracy, a means of preserving truth, and a powerful tool for combating misinformation. Now, more than ever, this discipline needs to be protected and upheld. I hope the stories I’ve helped bring to life have provided comfort in difficult times, sparked curiosity, or inspired meaningful change. Read more>>

I just wrote my eulogy. Don’t worry, I’m not sick, but we’ve lost two grandparents in the past year and in discussing their memories, my daughter asked what I want at my end of life celebration. “Dancing,” I said. “And good wine. Not the cheap stuff.” The celebration is not about me but about all the people who have learned to live a whole life, 100% free of the monkeys that sabotage our mental acuity. I hope that not only will my three daughters exceed me in every way, but that my coaching clients and collaborators will have a richer more satisfying life as a result of working with me. Read more>>

When I started with Evergreen Horrors I had no plans for the future, I just wanted an outlet for my writing and to maybe make friends at the newspaper. After leaving the college newspaper I realized I needed a more concrete direction, and it made me evaluate why I even wanted to keep going. I realized that at the core of my projects and collaborations was the desire to connect with people both at an individual level and as an audience; to take risks and grow from them as I became worthy of the attention I want to receive. I want to leave behind a record of my growth, struggles and successes, a footprint that says I existed even if I have no friends to remember me. Read more>>

I’m hopeful my legacy will be one that people knew came with hard dedication, perseverance and determination. A legacy that was accompanied by strong genuine relationships, mentoring and guidance all while taking risk and sharing knowledge & wisdom. Read more>>

I hope to build a legacy that truly impacts society. Since childhood, I have dreamed of becoming an artist who makes a difference. I have always believed that art holds both intrinsic value and immense power—it has the ability to provoke thought, spark dialogue, and shape our understanding of the world. This belief has guided me along my creative journey, driving me to create work that resonates emotionally and fosters meaningful connections on a broader social level. Read more>>

The legacy I’m building is one that’s centered around empowerment, resilience, and possibility. I want to show people, especially those who look like me and come from similar backgrounds, that it’s possible to break through barriers, defy expectations, and build something meaningful with any opportunity presented. I’m not just working to grow my businesses—I’m truly working to create opportunities for others, to be a bridge for the next generation of leaders who might not have had the same advantages. My hope is that people will remember me as someone who helped turn dreams into reality, not just for myself, but for the community I care about. Read more>>

I had a lot of time while struggling with the diagnosis of a brain tumor and then Meningitis to ponder what exactly a legacy would look like for me and what I hoped it to become. A short answer would be that I hope to be remembered as a person who loved well. That when the people who have hired me think of our time together they look back with a smile. When I gave to someone, they would remember the love that delivered the gift. Read more>>
