We caught up with the brilliant and insightful 2C Promotions a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
2C, appreciate you joining us today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
We aim for 2C Promotions to remain a cornerstone of collegiate nightlife while also being a company that uplifts the community it serves. Beyond hosting unforgettable events, we’re dedicated to giving back—whether that’s supporting campus student groups like the Association of Black Students or providing opportunities for others to learn about business, marketing, media, branding, and event promotion while gaining tangible experience. Our ultimate goal is to evolve into a company that fosters personal and professional growth, and even ventures into real estate by owning our own property. We want to be remembered as innovators who brought joy, opportunities, and lasting impact to the community. After all, ain’t no party like a 2C party!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
We operate in the nightlife and entertainment industry, specializing in marketing, promotion, and event planning. 2C Promotions addresses key issues like market segmentation and the lack of safe, inclusive party environments.
What sets us apart:
We create unique, memorable events that merge our education and cultural awareness to deliver an inclusive experience.
Safety is our top priority—none of our events have been shut down or impacted by violence.
We bring our personal experiences, leadership, and cultural competency to curate the ultimate vibe.
Our goal is to ensure every 2C Promotions event leaves a lasting impression, providing not just fun but also a sense of connection and community. We’ve gone from throwing small events with little turnout to hosting packed parties with lines wrapped around the building.
Our Instagram grew from minimal engagement to almost 500 followers, reaching thousands of accounts weekly.
What once started as trial-and-error is now a brand known for top-tier experiences, with parties so popular that at times, we’ve had to turn people away because the space was at capacity. At 2C Promotions, we’re committed to delivering an unmatched party experience, from start to finish. We value safety and inclusivity above all, ensuring that every event is a space for good vibes and great energy. Our team truly cares about creating unforgettable memories while building community and fostering growth in the nightlife and entertainment scene.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Our success stems from a combination of individual and collective efforts. Each of us brought unique personal brands and connections to the entertainment industry:
Craig—known as DJ Uncle Craig—has years of experience as a DJ and is deeply connected to St. Louis through his business ventures and community work.
Christina—also known as Tina G–with a father who is a DJ and close ties to Atlanta’s nightlife scene—has been immersed in entertainment and media from an early age.
Both of us also held prominent leadership positions at WashU and in St. Louis, which boosted our visibility
These experiences built our networks, credibility, and recognition, which laid the foundation for the success of 2C Promotions.

How’d you meet your business partner?
We met in the fall of 2021, right after COVID, which was a challenging time for community building. On the Friday before Christina’s second year and Craig’s first year at WashU, we crossed paths at a mixer in one of WashU’s dining halls. Christina immediately noticed Craig’s vibrant, almost familiar energy. Come to find out, Craig, a St. Louis native, was already running multiple businesses (a lawn care company, a bakery, and working as a DJ).
We quickly became friends, attending parties together and bonding over shared interests. Christina, who owned a women’s empowerment and media company, introduced Craig to marketing and media, which helped him grow his DJ brand, “DJ Uncle Craig.”
Over time, we noticed the segmentation in WashU’s nightlife scene. That shared observation, combined with our mutual passion for business, inspired us to create 2C Promotions—a platform where we could build community, foster inclusion, and elevate the nightlife experience.
