Zankeethia, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Who is your hero and why? What lessons have you learned from them and how have they influenced your journey?
My mother is my hero. She was a single mother with 2 daughters and finished college before I came along. She received her bachelor’s in science and became a teacher. Then she went on to pursue a career as youth service counselor. My mom has taught me perseverance she never gave and refused to let any of me, and my siblings give up. She made she we received an education attended college and pursued something we love to do.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers?
I got into the catering industry after making a decision to turn something I love to do into my career. I decided to use my passion to make a living and pulled my family in for the ride. I offer private chef and event catering services. I love to help bring my client events with great tasting food and outstanding service from me and my staff. I pride myself on providing a experience that will be talked about for years to come.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I reach out weekly and also treat them like family. I want my clients to know I appreciate their business and do not take it for granted. Their decision to patronize me is a greatly appreciated.
Any advice for managing a team?
Be stern but also show your appreciation lead with understanding and grace in your heart. Try to understand that your employees are human and have lives outside of work, and things do happen. With this also keep in mind you have to protect your brand and your business.
