We recently connected with Traci Rhone and have shared our conversation below.
Traci, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your creative career sooner or later?
I wish I had started my journey in film production prior to my father’s death. My father was a famous playwright, author, producer, and director. He is well known for the cult classic movie THE HARDER THEY COME; as a child, he would often bounce ideas off of me. It was his way of communicating and loving me. I did not understand at the time the process of creating, and the process of love from father to daughter. Upon his death, in 2009 a great hole filled my already empty soul and I sought solace wherever I could find it.
As a child, I painted and I wanted to be a painter. I am not sure why I did follow a degree in the Arts, perhaps it was fear. I am a trained and licensed therapist. I enjoy working with clients. However, I realized I enjoy the process of creating works of the 7th art more and painting more.
I am unsure if having regret of starting my journey as a film producer sooner would have brought me closer to who I am now, an actualized human being. I am glad and grateful that I began the journey 7 years ago.

Traci, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am an independent Filmmaker committed to social justice and counterculture. I have worked with major companies such as Time Warner as well as with Grammy and Oscar Award Winning Producers, Directors, and Actors.
I initially put an ad online for creatives to join me in creating films for the 7th Art; Many responded and it is what set me on my own journey as a film producer.
I am proud that I am able to raise capital for commercial feature films. I work with amazing veterans and newbies in the business. I also create documentaries, short films. It is very important for me to give back to society.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being creative is that I am able to witness my own growth as an artist. I am also able to connect with others who have similar visions as my own. It is the sense of community thru creation.

We’d love to hear your thoughts on NFTs. (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
NFTs: All for it. It is a non-fungible token is a unique and non-interchangeable unit of data stored on a blockchain, a form of digital ledger. NFTs can be associated with reproducible digital files such as photos, videos, and audio. I don’t quite understand the concept yet.
