Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Taunesha (Ms Nesha B) Bassett. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Taunesha (Ms Nesha B), appreciate you joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
I didn’t come up with this idea sitting down trying to create a business. It really came out of how I was living.
At the time, I was working a six-figure job. The job itself was fine. It wasn’t stressful or toxic. It was just… safe. And if I’m being honest, I had gotten used to choosing what felt safe instead of really betting on myself.
A lot of that came from not knowing where to start, not feeling confident, and just fear. But it also came from having real responsibilities. I had to raise my children, I had bills to pay, and all of that made choosing the safe route feel like the smart thing to do. So I stayed on that path.
Now my children are grown, but the responsibilities didn’t go away, they just shifted.
Like a lot of women in their 50s, I’m now taking care of my mom, who has Alzheimer’s. My days and nights still aren’t really my own. I was waking up two to three times a night, tending to her, and still getting up the next day to handle everything at home and work.
So the idea of “build a business in your spare time” never felt realistic to me. I didn’t feel like I had spare time, and honestly, I didn’t always have the energy either.
But I’ve always had an entrepreneurial mindset.
Anytime someone told me what they loved to do or what they were good at, my mind would immediately go to how they could turn it into income. I had been doing that with friends, my kids, and people around me for years without even realizing it.
And at the same time, I kept hearing the same things:
“I don’t have time.”
“I don’t even know where to start.”
So I started building a business for myself based on what I realized I was naturally good at, helping people get clarity.
I began testing what it would look like to build a business in a way that actually fit my life.
That’s when it clicked.
It wasn’t that I didn’t have time. I needed a structure that respected the time and energy I did have and helped me build consistency and momentum instead of chasing perfection.
Because what I was seeing out there didn’t match real life.
There’s a lot of hype around building businesses. Make six figures. Make seven figures. But that doesn’t feel real when you’re already tired and managing a full life.
And even when people say start small, the expectation still feels like another 20 to 30 hours a week. That’s where people get overwhelmed and give up before they even start.
So I asked myself, what would this look like if it actually worked for me?
That’s when I created a simple one-hour structure.
Five minutes to set the intention and get clear on what I’m going to work on.
Fifty minutes of focused work on one thing that actually moves me forward.
And five minutes to reflect and acknowledge what I did, because that’s the part we usually skip, and it’s also what builds confidence.
That structure became the foundation for my 1-Hour BAWSE Blueprint, a 12-step system designed to build clarity and momentum.
It starts with helping you get clear on what your business is and who you serve. Then it walks you through how to create a simple offer that solves a real problem, find your first clients, and start making money.
It also helps you build a budget and leverage your current income as your investor, so you’re not operating from stress, but from a plan.
From there, it’s about testing your idea in real time, building visibility, and creating a follow-up system so your business can actually grow.
When I started using this myself, I was surprised. Even with everything going on in my life, I could still make progress. Not all at once, but consistently.
That’s when I knew this was something worth building.
Not because it sounded good, but because it worked in real life. It worked with limited time, limited energy, and real responsibilities.
When I started sharing it with other women, especially women over 40, I saw the same shift. They didn’t need more time.
They needed clarity.
They needed structure.
They needed a way to move forward that actually fit their life.
What excites me most is helping women realize they are not behind.
They are experienced. They are capable. And they already have something valuable.
They just need a way to see it clearly and a system to move on it.
Because once you stop waiting for more time and start working with the time you already have, you realize you’re not stuck.
You just needed a way to start.
I always thought having a job was the safest option.
Then, I was laid off.
And instead of going back to another six-figure job, I made the decision to take a pay cut so I could be my mom’s full-time caregiver. I was already doing the work, but now I have the flexibility to be there for her and still build something for myself.
My days are still full. I’m still waking up in the middle of the night. I’m still managing a home and real responsibilities.
But now, I have a system.
And I use it.
Even in the middle of everything, I find my hour. Sometimes it’s broken up. Sometimes it’s not perfect. But it’s consistent.
And that’s what I want women to see.
You don’t need perfect conditions.
You don’t need more time.
You need clarity, structure, and a decision to start.

Taunesha (Ms Nesha B), love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m Taunesha, also known as Ms Nesha B, and I’m the creator of the 1-Hour BAWSE Blueprint.
At my core, I’m someone who has always been able to see what people already have inside them and help them turn it into something real. For years, I’ve naturally been the person people come to when they’re trying to figure something out, whether it’s an idea, a next step, or how to turn something they enjoy into income.
My background is rooted in corporate experience, structure, and systems, but I also have an entrepreneurial mindset. So I think differently. I’m always looking at how something can be simplified, structured, and turned into something that actually works in real life.
What I do now is help busy women over 40 get clear on what they already know, turn it into income, and build a business using a simple one-hour-a-day system.
Through the 1-Hour BAWSE Blueprint, I walk them through a 12-step process that starts with clarity, understanding what they’re good at, who they serve, and what problem they solve. Then we move into creating a simple offer, finding clients, building visibility, and putting systems in place so their business can actually grow.
Since being laid off, I’ve also leaned into learning how to leverage AI and no-code tools, and I fell in love with it. I’ve learned how to create digital tools and experiences without needing to code, and I’ve incorporated that directly into my business.
Now I create tools that help my clients save time on things that typically slow them down, like content creation and organizing their ideas. I also teach them how to create simple digital experiences that guide people toward their offer, while building credibility and trust at the same time.
I also focus on helping them leverage what they already have. That includes using their current income as their investor, building a realistic budget, and using tools that save time instead of creating more overwhelm.
What sets me apart is that I don’t teach business in a way that assumes you have unlimited time, energy, or perfect conditions.
I teach business in a way that fits real life.
My audience isn’t starting from scratch. They have years of experience, skills, and knowledge, but they’ve either been undervaluing it or they don’t know how to package it into something that makes money.
I help them see it, structure it, and move on it.
And I keep it simple.
Because the truth is, most people don’t need more information. They need clarity, a plan, and a system they can actually follow.
What I’m most proud of is creating something that works in real life, not just in theory.
I’m building my business while being a full-time caregiver for my mom, managing a home, and navigating everyday responsibilities. So everything I create is tested in real time. If it doesn’t work for me, I don’t teach it.
And what I want people to know is this:
You are not behind.
You are not starting from zero.
You already have something valuable.
You just need a way to see it clearly and a system to move on it.
And once you do, everything changes.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
For me, building my reputation hasn’t been about trying to go viral or be everywhere. It’s really been about being intentional about where I show up and how I show up.
A big part of that has been networking and putting myself in rooms where I can connect with other business owners, learn, and also share what I know. I’ve been very intentional about not just staying behind the scenes, but actually getting out, having conversations, and building real relationships.
Another major piece has been speaking and teaching.
I’ve started stepping into spaces where I can teach what I know, whether that’s through workshops, conferences, or community-based events. And for me, it’s not about just talking, it’s about breaking things down in a way that people can actually use.
That’s where I’ve seen the biggest shift.
When people experience how I think and how I simplify things, especially around clarity, structure, and building a business in real life, that’s what builds trust. It’s not just what I say, it’s how I help them see things differently.
I also focus on showing up consistently in my content and sharing what I’m learning in real time. I’m not positioning myself as someone who has everything figured out. I’m building, testing, and growing, and I bring people along in that process.
And I think that’s what makes it relatable.
People can see that I’m actually living what I teach. I’m building a business while managing real responsibilities, and that makes the information feel more real and doable for them.
So for me, my reputation is being built through:
real relationships
real conversations
and real results
Not hype.
And over time, that consistency starts to speak for itself.

Does your business have multiple or supplementary revenue streams (like a ATM machine at a barbershop, etc)?
Yes, and I’m very intentional about it, even as I’m still building.
Right now, my main stream is my 1-Hour BAWSE Blueprint. That’s my foundation. It’s where people come in, get clarity, and start building something of their own.
From there, I’ve started creating digital tools that support that process. These are designed to help my audience save time on things like content creation, organizing their ideas, and actually taking action without feeling overwhelmed.
I’m also stepping into teaching more through classes and workshops. That’s something I’m actively building, and the goal is to eventually turn that into a membership once I have a strong library of tools and trainings that people can consistently access.
Another stream I’m developing is offering “done-for-you” digital experiences. Some people don’t want to build things themselves, so I create those experiences for them in a way that helps them attract clients, build trust, and lead people to their offers.
I’m also building myself as a speaker. I’ve joined Toastmasters to sharpen my skills because I’m serious about teaching and being in rooms where I can share these concepts on a bigger level. That’s something I see becoming a strong revenue stream as well.
And long-term, I want to expand into retreats and in-person experiences, because I believe there’s power in getting people in the same space to learn, connect, and grow.
What’s important to me is that all of these streams are connected.
They’re not random. They all support the same audience at different stages, from getting clear, to building, to growing.
And everything I create is designed around my lifestyle, not the other way around.
My goal is to be able to run my business from anywhere in the world, while still showing up for my life and my responsibilities. So every stream I build has to support that level of flexibility and freedom.
Because for me, multiple streams of income isn’t just about making more money.
It’s about creating true freedom.
