We caught up with the brilliant and insightful SVNTVNV a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
SVNTVNV , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about the things you feel your parents did right and how those things have impacted your career and life.
My parents have done so many things right for me, but most importantly one of those things was the love I have for music. They introduced me to amazing musicians at a young age which are influences to the music I currently make today. I remember as a child they would play music of all types: Carlos Santana, Prince, Ozzy Osborne, Africa Bambaataa, and Tupac just to name a few. With so many sounds and influences it inspired me to not box myself into one sound.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Svntvnv. I’ve been making music since 2018. Im an Artist/Musician from Pontiac, MI. A lot of my music is influenced by different genres, hip hop being most influential. I set myself apart from others, by being myself. My music can attract an audience, so you’re bound to like something. Most importantly, my sound is it’s own. I’m most proud of all the shows I’ve been manifesting and all the new records I’ve made. I have a website where you can purchase apparel, as well as find updates. Very soon more music is planned to drop so be on the lookout for that.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist is seeing how the music affects someone in a positive way. When Im performing I feed off the energy that is given by the audience.
How did you build your audience on social media?
As my audience continues to grow, building a social media presence can start off slow. Being consistent and posting daily on all social media’s.
