Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Susan Carabello. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Susan , appreciate you joining us today. Looking back on your career, have you ever worked with a great leader or boss? We’d love to hear about the experience and what you think made them such a great leader.
As part of my being a spiritual teacher, I also teach yoga several days per week at a studio called Honor Yoga. My mentors and colleagues at the studio have been so profoundly amazing in my journey and I am super grateful.
For a short period of time, I managed their studio in Pennington NJ. But for me, I intuitively knew that I was a teacher and that I should let go of managing the studio. What happened next was short of amazing! They supported me in that transition from manager to teacher and actually encouraged me and empowered me to do so!
Unexpected and amazing! It feels wonderful to work for an organization that truly supports their employees and community fully. They want to see you succeed!!

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Susan Carabello. I am a manifestation coach and spiritual teacher who guides women who feel stuck to reconnect with their inner wisdom so they can live with confidence, clarity and purpose. My practice uses a mix of spirituality, the science of manifestation and with a bit of mindset work so that you can use your energy wisely to create the life you always dreamed of.
I started my coaching business during the pandemic when my career as a makeup artist came to a stand still. I had to rely on faith to get me to where I am today and it has paid off immensely. I love what I do and I am grateful to be able to serve the capacity that I do.
I currently offer Spiritual Teaching in the following avenues: Group Coaching, Workshops, Live Events, as well as domestic and international wellness retreats.
The problems I solve for my clients is getting them back in touch with their inner wisdom. I show them how to reconnect, how to listen to their intuition and most of all, how to trust it! Many times, we don’t know what trusting our intuition feels like and we end up, reacting to the world around us. I teach my clients how to be proactive, listen and trust from within, because the responses to our lives can change our lives.
As for what I am most proud of, being a mom to two amazing children. They inspire me with their tenacity and work ethic, and of course, their love for life. When it comes to work, however, I am most proud of my clients. When they work with me, they commit to learning about spirituality, they commit to the work and they reap results.
I am very lucky to do what I do and grateful to be able to serve in this capacity. It’s something I had faith in and its been a blessing.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
A lesson I needed to learn when it came to my business was to start thinking like a CEO and less like an employee. Yes, wearing both hats are important, but at some point, you will feel overwhelmed doing it all. This was a really hard lesson for me to learn, because I had to to give up control, admit that I could not do it all and trust that I could outsource some of my tasks such as updating my website and SEO optimization.
When I finally unlearned this habit, I let go of the daily tasks that I was covering, which allowed me to be there more for my clients and be more present every day.

If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?
I have had many careers across my lifetime. I worked in finance, bookkeeping, professional makeup artistry and most recently, manifestation coach and spiritual teacher.
All of these careers have supported where I am today. I learned lessons from each of those stops along the way and it has given me the skills to be an effective coach, teacher and most of all listener.
Also, knowing that I have been divinely guided this whole time makes the journey that much sweeter because I am now where I was meant to be all along and I would not change a thing.
