Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Shereese Ramsey. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Shereese, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
The most meaningful project I’ve ever worked on is writing my book. This project was born out of a deeply personal season in my life when I was growing, healing, and learning to trust God in a new way. I was carrying experiences, lessons, and testimonies that I knew were bigger than me, and I felt a strong responsibility to share them so others could find hope, clarity, and encouragement.
The process wasn’t easy. There were moments when writing forced me to revisit difficult memories and confront emotions I had buried. Balancing everyday responsibilities while staying committed to finishing the manuscript required discipline, faith, and perseverance. But those challenges made the journey even more meaningful because every chapter represents obedience, growth, and purpose.
This book is more than pages bound together — it’s a piece of my heart, my testimony, and my ministry in written form. It reflects my belief that our stories have power and that transparency can help someone else heal, grow, or feel less alone. Seeing how the message resonates with readers and knowing it can inspire transformation is what makes this project so significant to me.
Completing this book reminded me that purpose often comes from the places we’ve struggled through, and that God can use our experiences to uplift others. That is why this project will always hold a special place in my life.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a 29-year-old author and ordained minister with a deep love for Holy Bible teachings and a genuine passion for serving God’s people. My journey into ministry and writing was not simply a career choice — it was a calling shaped by life experiences, spiritual growth, and a desire to help others heal, grow, and discover their purpose.
From an early age, I recognized a strong pull toward encouraging others through prayer, mentorship, and sharing God’s Word. Over time, that calling expanded into authorship, where I began writing to reach people beyond the walls of the church. My book was birthed from personal testimony, life lessons, and moments where faith carried me through challenges that could have easily broken me. Writing became a form of ministry — a way to speak hope, restoration, and truth into the lives of people I may never meet personally.
Through my work, I provide faith-based teaching, inspirational writing, ministry leadership, and spiritual encouragement. Whether through books, speaking engagements, conferences, or church service, my mission is to help people strengthen their relationship with God, heal from life’s hardships, and boldly walk in their God-given purpose.
What sets me apart is my transparency, compassion, and relatability. I believe in meeting people where they are without judgment. My approach to ministry and writing is heartfelt and genuine because everything I share comes from real experiences and a sincere desire to see others whole. I don’t just teach faith — I live it daily.
I am most proud of answering God’s call on my life and using my voice to uplift others. Becoming an author and ordained minister has allowed me to combine purpose with service, and there is no greater fulfillment than seeing lives touched by the work God has entrusted to me.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
One of the hardest lessons I’ve had to learn — and am still learning — is discernment when it comes to relationships and friendships. For most of my life, I believed that loving people deeply and giving from a genuine heart was enough to build healthy, lasting connections. I have always been the kind of person who loves wholeheartedly and gives freely — the type who would truly give someone the clothes off my back if they needed it.
Being a loyal and supportive friend has always come naturally to me. I show up, I listen, I encourage, and I give without expecting anything in return. But over time, I began to notice a pattern: the same love, loyalty, and care I poured into others was not always reciprocated. I found myself feeling drained, overlooked, and sometimes taken for granted.
The backstory behind this lesson is rooted in my heart posture. I naturally see the good in people and want to believe the best about them. While that is a beautiful quality, I’ve learned that without discernment, it can also lead to emotional exhaustion and misplaced trust. Not everyone has the same intentions, capacity, or heart that I do.
God has been teaching me that discernment is an act of wisdom, not judgment. I’m learning that it’s okay to set boundaries, to pay attention to red flags, and to understand that everyone is not assigned to walk every season of life with me. Loving people doesn’t mean overextending myself to the point of depletion.
This lesson has been challenging because it required me to unlearn the idea that giving more of myself would automatically produce deeper relationships. Instead, I’m learning that healthy connections require mutual care, respect, and sincerity.
Although I am still growing in this area, I am grateful for the wisdom that comes with experience. Discernment is helping me protect my peace, value my heart, and build relationships that are genuine, balanced, and aligned with God’s purpose for my life.

Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?
Yes, there are many faith-based resources I wish I had known about earlier in my creative and ministry journey. When I first stepped into writing and ministry, I leaned heavily on prayer, personal study, and obedience to God’s calling. While those were essential foundations, I later discovered that there were many Christ-centered tools, communities, and platforms designed to support faith-driven leaders and authors like myself.
