Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sean and Brandi Wagoner. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Sean and Brandi thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Your ability to build a team is often a key determinant of your success as a business owner and so we’d love to get a conversation going with successful entrepreneurs like yourself around what your recruiting process was like -especially early on. How did you build your team?
We started with just the two of us but had great support from family and close friends. We knew exactly how we wanted to do events, from the level of service and detail to set us apart from other vendors. We started with word of mouth and then quickly pulled the trigger on the knot and some Fb marketing early on. By our 3rd event we asked a long time friend and bartender to do the larger event with us. We have lived in the greater Jacksonville area our whole lives so we know a lot of people and trustworthy bartenders. We started booking more than 1 event per day in our second year and that rapidly scaled up to 5 events per day in some cases. We have not had to hire outside of bartenders we know yet and that has been a huge blessing as we grow.
Sean and Brandi, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
We are a fully licensed and insured mobile bartending company. We offer day of event bar services for wedding, private parties and corporate events. Both owners of Toast with Cocktails have leadership experience in service areas as well as corporate. We are intentional in everything thing that we do and pay very close attention to all the details. Our clients so far love that we are always available by phone and over communicate to be sure everyone is on the same page for each and every event we do.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Reputation in this industry is everything! We have built ours on high quality service, communication and trust. If you hire Toast with Cocktails or refer us to anyone it is because we do what we say every single time. We love the relationships we have created with venues and vendors in this space and our reviews speak for themselves.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
We use HoneyBook for all communication and it has been a game changer for processes and automation. We are always available via text and phone as well, which everyone loves!
