We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Sabrina Watts a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Sabrina, thanks for joining us today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.

One of the biggest risk I’ve experienced was flying out across the world to be with my family and to be with my dad who was battling and still battling stage 4 cancer. At the time I was married and my daughter was young, covid had hit unexpectedly causing changes in my life. We and of course most people around the world had gone thru an ordeal during this time. I was caring for my dad, being a mother and studying at all the same time trying to accomplish what I said I was.

Another risk I’ve taken is after all the hardship and hassle in my personal life and business when I returned back to Australia I had started less then 1 year to then open up my own shop front, a clinic not knowing where I stand if it was too soon for me to do. As in my head I had given myself 3 years to build and open up my dream clinic.

Long story short within a short time and with previous battles and heart aches to get where I am today, I am proud to have built a successful business that is solid and established.

All I can say is that, you will not fulfill your purpose in life without stepping outside your comfort zone. You’ll never know what you are capable of if you give in to fear, uncertainty, and doubt. You won’t make the positive impact you want in your community and world without taking risks.

I say go for it, go for your dream and take the risk. When you put your heart and soul and everything into something your passionate about, then that’s something big coming your way.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

One of your primary goals for social media is to grow your following in order to further monetize your content and expand your opportunities. While putting time and effort into your social media content is definitely an important factor in growing your page, consistency in posting is another key factor that is often overlooked

As a business owner, it is also important to understand that those who have engaged with your content in the past, or are already following you, are likely to be shown any future content you post in the feed to see if they continue to engage with your page. As a result, maintaining a consistent posting schedule will allow you to keep collecting more followers and engagement, which will lead to a broader reach for your next round of posts.

Every time you post on social media, it’s an opportunity to strengthen the relationship you have with your audience. Every time you share some interesting news or inspiration, you have the potential to spark conversation. Every time you use social media to promote your products or services, you increase your brand awareness, and your chances of selling something. Every time you share something about you, you help your audience to feel more connected to you on a personal level.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

It’s not enough to build a good reputation; you also have to protect it and maintain it. Check in with yourself and ask if you are consistently acting in a way that promotes a good reputation. Reputation is built up or torn down on character, communication and trust. Conduct yourself accordingly Be introspective and honest with yourself. As hard as it might be at times, think through what you did and why you did it. Do your own review. Be sincere with others. No one likes or admires someone who is constantly trying to “spin” events. Give it to them straight.Do what you say. If you commit to it, then do it. No excuses. You will be judged by your values, and you will be trusted only if you follow through. Be authentic in your professional relationships. Foster a culture of openness. And delivery results.
