Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to MIGGS. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
MIGGS, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Are you able to earn a full-time living from your creative work? If so, can you walk us through your journey and how you made it happen?
From a young age, I have always enjoyed playing music, but witnessed more and more artists living gig to gig, and not able to support a family. As I got older, I told myself that I wanted a career, a trade and something to support a family. So after jumping from a job in sales, to a job in the Air Force, I was able to build a career, get multiple degrees and multiple certifications for my primary career as a Network Engineer.
I took music where ever I went, and played in places that would have, me all over the world from dive bars to basement pubs. When I got back to the USA in 2020, I decided to continue it and being in a new space, in the height of COVID, I was able to bring my acoustic show to local bars and venues. But here is where it turned- as I continued over the next couple of years, I grew my audience, fan base and social media. In 2024 I started releasing music on streaming platforms, started selling merch at shows and formed a band with the help of Bobby Jackson. I realized I wanted to run it like a business, so I created an LLC.
Over the last 6 years, I continue to grow my brand with little tweaks here and there, and ensuring I treat my brand as a professional entity, not just a musician playing music. And I think that is most important. Too often I witness and hear of musicians not being treated in a professional manner, and that is where we need to do better for ourselves. If we take ourselves seriously, others will too. I set my rates based on solo, duo and full band shows, and negotiate when needed, and its a process I continue to iron out everyday.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m MIGGS — an Air Force veteran turned country artist and business owner. I was raised under the city lights of Austin, Texas, where live music wasn’t just entertainment, it was part of everyday life. That environment shaped me early on. I grew up watching artists pour their real lives into songs, and that stuck with me. Music became a way to tell the truth, process life, and connect with people in a way nothing else could.
My journey into this industry wasn’t a straight line. I spent over a decade serving in the U.S. Air Force while continuing to write, perform, and build music on the side. Balancing military service with creative ambition taught me discipline, resilience, and how to bet on myself — skills that later became the foundation of my business and brand. When I fully committed to pursuing music professionally, I approached it the same way I approached everything else: with intention, work ethic, and a long-term vision.
Today, I create modern country music rooted in real-life experiences — family, friends, loss, love, fatherhood, friendships, and the moments that shape who we become. Whether it’s a deeply personal song like “I Miss You Dad” or a high-energy, fan-favorite anthem like “Party Ride,” my goal is always the same: make people feel something real. I don’t write songs just to chase trends. I write songs that come from lived experience, because that’s what people connect to.
Beyond the music itself, I provide full-scale live entertainment experiences. My band and I deliver high-energy, professional country shows designed to bring people together — whether that’s at festivals, venues, private events, or large-scale productions. From production and branding to performance and promotion, I’ve built this operation from the ground up, which allows me to control the quality, consistency, and authenticity of everything attached to my name.
What sets me apart is that I live the music I write. I’m not playing a character. My story — the highs, the losses, the growth — is woven directly into my work. I’ve experienced personal tragedy, including the loss of my son, and while that’s not an easy thing to carry, it’s shaped the depth and honesty of my art. Music became both an outlet and a way to connect with others who’ve walked through their own storms.
I’m most proud of building something real — not just a music career, but a brand rooted in authenticity, community, and connection. I’m proud of the fans who show up, sing every word, and feel like they’re part of this journey. I’m proud of staying independent, owning my work, and proving that you can build a successful creative business without compromising who you are.
What I want people to know most is this: my brand isn’t about perfection — it’s about truth. If you come to a MIGGS show or listen to my music, you’re going to get honesty, energy, and heart. Whether it’s a song that helps you through a tough moment or a night that lets you forget everything else and just live, that’s what I aim to deliver. That’s the mission — always has been.

What inspired you to share your story with us?
I wanted to share my story because my music comes directly from real life — not a persona or a trend. I’m an Air Force veteran who found music as a way to process everything life has thrown at me, from love and loss to healing and growth.
My new single, One Sip Away, comes from a very real place — that late-night moment when you’re sitting alone with your thoughts and emotions start getting louder than the room. It’s a story a lot of people quietly live through, and I wanted to give that feeling a voice.
Over the years, I’ve learned that music can be a bridge — between people, between pain and healing, and between where you’ve been and where you’re going. I’ve experienced profound loss in my life, including losing my son, and while not every song is directly about that, it changed how honestly I write and why I share these stories.
I’m grateful for the chance to talk about where the songs come from, what they mean to me, and hopefully connect with viewers who might see a piece of their own story in the music.

We are in the business of telling stories not selling a product. What’s a story in your life that influenced you and led to where you are today with your business?
One of the most defining stories in my life is how I found my voice after experiencing profound loss. I have served in the military for years, and during that time I learned discipline, resilience, and how to push forward no matter what. During that time, I lost the most important people to me, my father, step-mother, best friend and grandparents. But it was after losing my son last year that everything changed.
That kind of loss reshapes you. It forced me to slow down, reflect, and ask myself what really mattered — not just in life, but in how I wanted to show up for others. Music became the place where I could process things I couldn’t put into everyday words.
What started as a personal outlet eventually became something bigger. I realized that when I shared my stories honestly, people connected — not because they had lived my life, but because they had lived their own versions of pain, love, and resilience.
That realization shaped my business and my music career. Everything I do now is built around authenticity — telling real stories, creating genuine connections, and building something meaningful rather than chasing quick success. My music and my business exist to serve people, not sell them something.
