Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Mesita Partridge. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Mesita, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?
Events by Mesita started in a very organic way. I have always loved hosting and creating beautiful environments for people to gather in. Early on, I was the friend who planned the parties, styled the tables, and made sure every detail felt special.
The turning point came when people began asking if they could hire me to do the same thing for their events. At first it was small celebrations and weddings for friends and referrals. I realized there was an opportunity to turn what I loved into a real business.
In the beginning I spent a lot of time researching the industry and learning how events actually work behind the scenes. I studied timelines, vendor relationships, contracts, and logistics. I also invested in building a brand that felt elevated and polished. That included creating a website, developing my design style, and documenting the events I was producing so I could build a portfolio.
The early days required a lot of hustle. I was constantly networking, attending industry events, and connecting with venues and vendors. Over time those relationships turned into referrals and opportunities.
What started as a passion for hosting eventually became a full service event planning and floral design company. Today Events by Mesita produces weddings, corporate events, and luxury celebrations, and I am incredibly grateful that something that began as an idea has grown into a thriving business.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am the founder of Events by Mesita, a luxury event planning and floral design company based in Atlanta. Our work centers around what I call modern Southern hospitality with curated luxury.
I entered the event industry after working in a corporate environment where I gained experience coordinating events and managing large projects. That experience taught me how important organization, communication, and strong vendor partnerships are to producing successful events.
At Events by Mesita we provide full service planning, event design, and floral production for weddings, corporate events, and milestone celebrations. Our goal is to take the pressure off our clients so they can actually enjoy their event. We handle everything from the planning strategy and design direction to vendor coordination and production management.
One thing that sets us apart is our ability to combine logistics with design. A beautiful event still has to function well. We focus on creating experiences that are visually stunning while also running smoothly from start to finish.
I am most proud of the trust our clients place in us. Many of our projects come from referrals and returning clients, which tells me that people feel cared for and supported throughout the process. I want people to know that when they work with Events by Mesita they are getting a team that is invested in their vision and committed to delivering an exceptional experience.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Consistency and relationships have played a huge role in building my reputation.
The event industry is very collaborative, so the way you treat vendors, venues, and clients matters. I made it a priority to show up prepared, communicate clearly, and support the other professionals involved in each event. When vendors enjoy working with you, they recommend you.
I also focused on delivering a high level of service for every client, whether the event was large or small. When clients feel taken care of they naturally share their experience with others.
Over time those positive experiences created a strong network of referrals. That network is one of the biggest drivers of our business today.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Events are full of unexpected moments, and learning to stay calm and solutions focused is essential.
One event that stands out involved several last minute logistical challenges just days before the celebration. Vendor timelines shifted and we had to quickly rework parts of the production plan. Instead of letting the stress take over, our team focused on solving each problem step by step.
We communicated closely with the client and the vendor team, adjusted the plan, and kept everyone aligned on the goal of creating a beautiful event. When the day arrived everything came together seamlessly and the client never felt the pressure that had been happening behind the scenes.
Experiences like that remind me that resilience in this industry is about adaptability. No event is perfect behind the curtain, but a strong team and a calm mindset can turn challenges into successful outcomes.
