Makari , appreciate you joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
I’ve always wanted to be in the clothing game i was really getting better at it and i couldn’t had done it without my son kartier he motivated me in some many ways a hopefully he take over my business when he’s older
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Makari i am a clothing brand owner from Grand Rapids michigan I started my brand at 15-16 by making mockups and acknowledging that i had a talent so i start making more mockups and then I started watching videos to teach me i needed to know and then I started executing my plan so I invested in my self for the equipment i needed to start it out and started to learn I didn’t get it right the first or the second one but i kept going my streetwear brand is unique in so many ways and I progressed my buyers will see that
How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
I was working and i always thought different ways to get paid
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
