We were lucky to catch up with Leonardo Huertas recently and have shared our conversation below.
Leonardo , appreciate you joining us today. Is there a heartwarming story from your career that you look back on?
Yes, there is one story that always stays with me.
An athlete joined my program during a very difficult time, not just physically, but mentally. At the beginning, even running a few minutes was a challenge.
We worked with consistency, discipline, and mindset. Step by step, it wasn’t just the performance that improved — it was the person.
Months later, they crossed the finish line with confidence and pride. But what mattered most was what they told me: “I started believing in myself again.”
That’s when it all made sense.
It’s not just about training… it’s about changing lives.

Leonardo , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a professional in Physical Education and Sports, currently strengthening my profile with a diploma in Sports Psychology, because I strongly believe that true performance is built not only through the body, but also through the mind.
My journey started from within the sport itself. I am an athlete, runner, and coach, and it was through my own process — discipline, mistakes, learning, and growth — that I understood the real power of sport to transform lives. It doesn’t just improve physical performance; it changes mindsets, habits, and the way people see themselves.
In 2015, I had the opportunity to win an international tennis tournament, an experience that marked my career and reinforced my commitment to high performance and personal growth through sport. Additionally, I have been involved in organizing community-driven and charity events, using sport as a platform to bring people together, create impact, and give back.
Today, I lead training processes in running and tennis, where I don’t just design workouts — I build growth experiences. I work with athletes of all levels: from beginners to those aiming to improve performance or compete. I also provide strength training programs, personalized coaching, and virtual sessions focused on building discipline, consistency, and a strong mindset.
What problems do I solve?
I help people who want to improve physically but feel stuck due to a lack of structure, consistency, or confidence. My role is to guide them with clear direction, support, and tools so they don’t just train — they evolve.
What sets me apart?
I don’t sell workouts… I build processes. I focus on the person, not just the result. I integrate physical and mental training because that’s where real, lasting change happens. I believe in the power of environment — surrounding yourself with the right energy — and in training with intention.
What I’m most proud of is not only athletic results, but seeing people regain confidence, become more disciplined, and truly start believing in themselves. That’s the real transformation.
What I want people to know about me and my brand is simple:
this is not just about running or playing tennis. It’s about personal growth through sport.
Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about performing better…
it’s about becoming a better version of yourself.

If you could go back in time, do you think you would have chosen a different profession or specialty?
If I could go back, I would definitely choose the same path.
Sport didn’t just shape me as a professional, it shaped me as a person. It taught me discipline, character, resilience, and most importantly, to understand that the process is what truly builds results.
Of course, I would improve some decisions and moments where the lessons were tough… but I wouldn’t change the path. Because every setback, every challenge, and every doubt was necessary to become who I am today.
Today, I don’t just live sport — I use it to impact lives. And that gives meaning to everything I do.
So yes, I would choose the same path… but I would do it with more awareness, more focus, and even stronger conviction.
Because when you understand your purpose, you don’t want a different path… you want to do it better.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Yes, I can.
There was a moment in my journey where things didn’t go as expected. As an athlete and coach, you prepare, you plan, you give everything… and sometimes, results don’t come the way you want.
I faced moments of doubt, physical challenges, and situations where it would have been easy to stop. But instead of stepping back, I chose to stay consistent, trust the process, and keep showing up.
That’s where resilience is built — not when things are easy, but when you decide to move forward despite the discomfort.
Over time, those difficult moments became my biggest lessons. They made me stronger, more focused, and more connected to my purpose.
Today, I understand that resilience is not just about resisting… it’s about evolving.
And that’s exactly what I teach: keep going, trust the process, and become stronger through it.
