Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kyle Clayton. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Kyle thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
My mission is to help generations, of multi cultural families buy a home. Our company has served families in Phoenix for almost 20 years. Now that I am also on board, we are serving a younger generation as well. Homeownership is a key to building wealth for a family. It is a hard but life changing decision and my goal is to help as many people become homeowners as possible.
My mission is also to help support and strengthen public schools in our community. Our communities and kids deserve a great public education system in Arizona.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My parents have been in real estate most of my adult life. They build a successful company and I was always there to help in the background but never as a part of the company. Five years ago that changed and I decided the time was right, I wrapped up some of my own entrepreneurial endeavors and was ready for a new challenge. In that time we have become even more advanced with our marketing and use of social media. We use this to make sure the homes we sell get the most exposure possible so we can sell them for the highest price and best terms as possible.
Giving back is also they built in to our business. Every time someone buys or sells a house with us, we make a donation in their name to Phoenix Children’s Hospital. It’s call the Miracle Home Program by RE/MAX and Children’s Miracle Network.
My husband and I have been together for 15 years and we have one son. I’ve lived in Arizona my whole life and I am a proud Arizona native. My family loves to take evening walks, work in our backyard garden, and visit the beach. We are strong supporters of our community and working to keep it safe.
That led me to running for a School Board position in Washington Elementary School District. Seeing my son’s experience in first grade and also how strong school create strong communities inspired me to run. Having strong public schools is important for our kids, our economy, our home values, and our future. So I am running to strengthen our public schools and our communities for a better Arizona, for our kids.

How do you keep your team’s morale high?
My best advice is to shape the path for your team. People will follow that path but they need to be able to see where they’re going. That means providing them information and even a visual of the path forward. Our brains are good at finding solutions and overcoming fear if we know where were going or what the end looks like. So share your vision with the team and lay that foundation so they can join you on the path to business success.
Maintaining high morale is a challenge but with a path shaped for them, little things make the difference. Celebrate small wins with small celebrations, big wins with big ones. Be a leader that leads by example and not giving orders. Join them on the path to success so they see you doing the work, like they are, and be more committed to help your company succeed.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
Team Clayton makes it a practice to celebrate our clients, from the time they meet us and beyond. We celebrate them by sending birthday cards and having birthday happy hours for them. We have events throughout the year to talk with them and bring them together to create a community. We donate to charity on their behalf. On top of all of that, we are always trying to be a real estate resource for them and provide them trusted vendors to meet their needs.
