We were lucky to catch up with Kyeyune Noordin recently and have shared our conversation below.
Kyeyune, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today How did you come up with the idea for your business?
The idea for Sustainers ‘Trustee or Love’ Charitable Ministries didn’t come from a boardroom.
It came from a moment of deep gratitude for my own life to God by appreciating what I have, and what i had achieved in His Grace by answering His call to serve those who didn`t have hope in life of even achieving anything or becoming someone in the future. Growing up in Uganda, I realized that the only thing separated me from the children living on the streets was a family with a supportive system.
In 2019, I felt it was time to answer my call of life, which was and still is to stand up for those who couldn’t as a mission to Make God proud of me or us. I saw that while many organizations offered temporary aid, very few offered a family supportive system care. We decided to rent a home-based ministry where widows and orphans weren’t just ‘beneficiaries but they became family.
With God, everything is possible, What makes this work is that, Besides our devotion in serving our family, We serve with a rare commodity “Loyalty” or “rare treasure” in a world of temporary connections which is priceless and Foundation of Relationships as we raise $3 a day for hungry soul, for the price of a coffee in some countries abroad, To my family it can provide three nutritional Meals to a child, We raise from $50 to $150, To take an orphan to school with your sponsorships among others, Would like to join and help?
We provide a child with a home, medical care, and the same education that changed my life and hence my way of seeing things.
I’m most excited about serving my family from survival to empowerment, i pray that in future, i can see my beloved ones make success in life amen.
We aren’t just solving a hunger problems, less criminality in both future and present day but also we are saving while raising the next generation of parents, doctors, engineers, professionals or leaders who will one day do exactly what I’m doing for them, in the mercy of God Amen.
Instead of them growing up as criminals, drug additives or anything else bad to they`re future neighborhood and spouses just because no one stood up to love, care, protect or support them in the times when they needed it a lot, God forbid, Remember Charity begins at home.
Kindness isn’t character!!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
To folks who haven’t read about me, in a humbled Gesture to you please, I`m Kyeyune Noordin, the Founder and Executive Director of Sustainers ‘Trustee or Love’ Charitable Ministries in Uganda.
My entry into this field as a social worker was driven by a deep sense of gratitude for my own upbringing to God. Growing up in Uganda, I realized that being able to attend school and have a stable home where three meals were served daily without missing day was a major blessing in my life, one that many children and single mothers around didn’t have. Thank you so much dear God.
In 2019, after reflecting on these blessings, I felt a strong calling from God to “stand up” for those who couldn’t stand for themselves. My heart a strong believe that nothing changes unless someone steps out to lead the way, so I dedicated myself to building an organization that functions as a family rather than just a traditional charity.
To all folks wishing to know what we provide at Sustainers ‘Trustee or Love’ Charitable Ministries.
We provide a comprehensive support system for our family of 36 children and 8 widows.
Our services go beyond temporary relief; we provide:
A stable Home: A safe and loving home environment with protection and guidance.
.
Education: Ensuring every child has the academic foundation to succeed.
Medical Support: Access to healthcare and wellness monitoring.
Nutrition and Clothing: Meeting the daily physical needs of our family members.
To folks wishing to know what problems are we solving at Sustainers Love Charitable Ministries.
We solve the problem of vulnerability and isolation. Many orphans and widows in Uganda are left without support after losing their father figures, whom at time some pass away without supportive plan left for their beloved ones, some neglect their own blood and live them to suffer due lack of future strategic support plans for they families because of poverty, making them susceptible to hunger, disease, illiteracy and a lack of future opportunity.
By integrating them into a ” family”, we move with them along the narrow way as we solve the problem of immediate survival means while simultaneously tackling the long-term issue of poverty through education, shelter and empowerment.
What Sets Us Apart
What truly sets Sustainers Love Charitable Ministries apart is a “Family-First” philosophy by giving in beyond our own personal matters.
Teamwork over Hierarchy: We operate with a “no bossing” rule. If it’s time to serve our mission goals, the whole team works together as equals.
Resilient Dedication: We have been standing still to serve our family for over seven years, driven by reality, love, and faith.
Faith-Based Values: Our generosity stems from a belief in trusting God and having “undoubted heart” in our prayers.
What I Am Most Proud Of
I am most proud of our resilience. Despite the challenges of running a ministry, serving 44 members daily, we have remained constant in our care for our 44 family members. I am proud that we have built a team that values discipline and patience—knowing that to achieve meaningful goals, you must be willing to wait and work hard without giving up, even when you are turned down.
What I Want the World to Know
I want our followers and potential supporters to know that Sustainers ‘Trustee or Love’ Charitable Ministries is built on integrity and transparency. Our work is a representation of what is possible when you mix gratitude with action. We aren’t just an organization; we are a home where faith and hope becomes reality. My advice to anyone looking to make a difference is simple: Trust God, have faith, never give up and start right now, let God lead your way Amen!!.
“FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY” MAY GOD BLESS YOU MORE AND MORE AMEN!!!

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
In the world of social entrepreneurship and ministry, people often see the photos of smiling children, but what they don’t always see the quiet moments of desperation behind those scenes. For me, resilience isn’t just about moving forward; it’s about the discipline to stand still when everything is telling you to give up due to several rejections, unfulfilled promises and lack of hope.
A few years ago in 2022, we hit a period where our resources were incredibly thin. We had 30 children and 4 widows relying on us for their next meal, their medicine, and their school fees. I remember reaching out to potential partners and donors, pouring my heart into our story, only to be met with silence or a ‘no’ or rejection which felt hard for me to start praying mid night prayer to The Most Merciful God to grant me relief to serve his chosen ones everyday and forever.
There was a specific fortnight when the weight of the responsibility felt heavier than usual.
I had been turned down by a major lead, which i had strong believe in it, back by then to be impactful to our family’s well-being, but guess what happened next the following day after being turned down, the immediate needs of the family were mounting. In that moment loan had superseded the limit, Which made me think back to the core principle of our ministry, Which was and still is to have undoubted Faith in God’s Goodness no matter what comes our way towards our Family first. I then summoned my team and i told them the truth about the situation because we don’t boss each other here, We serve together and we share the same vision, But. My team’s response that day boosted my way of seeing things, Instead of them panicking or looking for a shortcut, we doubled down on our transparency and our daily work. We continued to provide the same level of love and care to the children, even though when we didn’t know where the next month’s support would come from. We stayed disciplined. We stayed patient. And most especially we stayed faithful in the Mighty Lord of Mercy who heals and sustains His broken ones.
I realized then that resilience isn’t a loud explosion of energy; it’s the quiet persistence to keep the doors open and the hearts full of hopes in God when the donations were low.
Eventually, because we remained consistent and didn’t waver in our mission to serve God, New doors began to open. We received new donors though we call them by brothers and sisters who saw that we weren’t a “flash in the pan” but a constant mission which serves less privileged and obey God.
That period taught me that rejection isn’t just a test of your dedication but also a test of your faith in God. Today, when I look at the few children who are now thriving in school, I feel the proudest of the fact that we never let them see the struggle on streets like many here in Capital city. We stood our ground, trusted God, and worked as a family.
My message to any creative or business owner is this: If you are doing something worthwhile, the world will try to tire you out. Your job is to be more patient than the problem and always to believe in God, And yourself or yourselves.
Lastly as i conclude, We Are Still Calling upon brothers and sisters all over the world to join us and support us our family.
May God bless you more and more amen.
For God and my Country, Thank you so much for time.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
Oh My God, What a remarkable question it is.
The lesson i had to unlearn in my entire serving period where many but list a few “reality is easy to express” and “serving for applauses instead of making God proud of us”
The backstory of why i had to unlearn them is that, The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.
Reality is hard to express after being tested by time and differences, you can see a child growing up, year to year without going to school at your sight yet already you have tried several times to convince donors to join you so that you can take that child to school but only to be rejected several times, how can you answer this child’s question in reality after four years of have hope in you to go back too school “uncle, will i go to school this term?, will i ever become a doctor as i dream?”.
Serving God, it starts with faith over fear in God no matter the circumstances, Pure intentions and present actions while not seeking appreciations of what you have done and applauses from children o but instead you tell people to first appreciate God but not you, Secondly to pray for the donor who donated his energy in form of donations to fund to their needs as a servant of God.
