We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kaison Jacobs . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kaison below.
Alright, Kaison thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
The first time I knew I wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally was when I seen my potential and worth as an artist! There were several times when I didn’t want to publicly showcase my talents due to fear of what others were going to say and how they viewed me. I began my music journey when I was around the age of 3 years old, I sung in my church choir and I grew up very religiously. While still in the choir, I found a new passion for music, this time in the hip-hop mainstream world! I began to write music, start rapping and got introduced to music producing as well. In my eyes, I knew me singing Gospel while rapping was not the best idea due to the discrepancy of the lyrics. It made me feel like I wasn’t doing what God wanted me to do, but however it made me realize that God gave me the talent for music so why not use it for the advantage to do both! As time progressed, I perfected my craft as a rapper, singer, songwriter and producer!

Kaison , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
How I got into the industry was networking with other artists who did some of the same things I do. I got a lot of music influences from rappers from the DIRTY SOUTH and Up North! I’ve had a journey throughout these past 15+ years plus as being an artist, I’ve written songs & produced for people in New Orleans, Chicago, GA, and California. Currently, I’m an A&R Scout for GreaterThanHQ, looking to get myself in that field to break artists and I’m also apart of VoyageATL’s own Content Creator Program which you will see me on podcasts, live events and more! What I am most proud of is knowing that I didn’t give up when I wanted to, believing in myself when others didn’t, chased my dreams and had many major doors open up for me in the midst of everything! One thing I want to tell the readers is that never limit your worth, talent and success on nobody’s perspective of you! Keep reaching for the stars and if nobody believes in you, I DO!
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Yes, my goal in life is to be WEALTHY & RICH and to be on reality tv shows such as Love & Hip Hop, The Come Up Franchise, Bad Boys Club, Growing Up Hip Hop and to be a well-known household name. I have the charisma, personality, spunk, drive, and PASSION to make it! Other goals include providing safe and drinkable water to those affected in Flint, Michigan, build Homeless Resource Centers for those less fortunate, donate to charity all around, go to Nairobi and countries where water is scarce and low food resources! I do want to change the world and make it a better place.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist is when I hear people sing my lyrics or send me videos of them dancing to my music. It’s refreshing and rewarding to see others participate in my works.
