Juanita, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Hi, I’m Juanita, an interior designer and decorative artist whose passion for art ignited in childhood.
My journey took me from art schools to mastering decorative painting and faux finishes, crafting spaces that tell stories.
Collaborating closely with professionals across the design and construction spectrum, I transform clients’ visions into reality with originality and flair.
Beyond my art, I embrace adventure and the outdoors, living an active and healthy lifestyle and seeking inspiration in mountaineering and cycling. My life is a testament to following one’s passion, blending creativity with a love for nature.
I aim to inspire others, especially women, to paint their own paths with bold strokes of courage and innovation.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
As an Interior Designer and Industrial Designer, I started my career working for a furniture company in Colombia as a purchasing manager for accessories. Later, I was transferred to the U.S. to manage franchise stores in Miami. This shift took me from a creative role into managerial and administrative work.
I had two other jobs in the industry, but over time, I realized that administration wasn’t my passion. What I truly wanted was the freedom to be creative and the independence to build something of my own. That’s when I decided to make a change, and it marked the beginning of my business.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The best source of new clients for me has definitely been networking with interior designers, contractors, and builders, as well as referrals from happy clients. Building strong relationships with industry professionals has been key because they often work directly with high-end homeowners and recommend my services.
Word of mouth has also been incredibly powerful. When clients love the work I do, they naturally share their experience with friends, family, and colleagues, which leads to new opportunities. In the luxury market, trust and reputation play a huge role, so delivering exceptional results and maintaining great client relationships has helped me grow my business significantly.”
Definitely the networking with Interior designes, Contractors, builders and happy clients that keep the word of mouth.
