We were lucky to catch up with Joseph Hughes recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Joseph, thanks for joining us today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?

I hope that my music changes the music industry and influence a new generation of producers do change things up.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I started on an app (dont remeber the name) back in 2019 that would let me loop sample pre loaded on the app. After releasing a few albums/eps on soundcloud, I started to use soundtrap that gave me more freedom with my sound, But after a year or two of using it i switched to bandlab which gave me even more freedom and lagged less, after working on a lot of music i relesed my first album WORLD ON FIRE that i was able to release on all streaming platforms, at the time i was still trying to find my sound but i ended up finding relentless a rapper on soundcloud who helped me find my sound and now we have a collab album together and are working on an ep droping soon.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

for me its just hearing music that i never thought that i could ever make and seeing some of the streams roll in.

Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?

I wish i knew about bandlab before i found out about soundtrap, soundtrap isnt very good compared to bandlab and for me the beats i make on bandlab are way better then the ones on soundtrap.
