Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jessica Winston. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Jessica thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
I used to do all things branding.
If someone wanted business cards, they called me.
If someone wanted a website, they called me.
If someone wanted their logo designed, their email sequence set up, new branding photos…. you guessed it. They called me.
I was burned out and used up, and still no where near my money goal.
I realized the issue was I was doing everything, so I decided to focus on my zone of genius. Strategy.
After working with countless entreprnuers I realized something, that people already have the big dream. They didn’t need help with the vision, they need help bringing that vision to life. They wanted success but what they needed was clarity, focus and direction. That is what I provide. I simplify success, through strategy.

Jessica, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am known as the queen of unsolicited advice!
If I could find a way to help you do anything better: sell your offer, talk to your audience, tie your shoe. I was going to tell you about it. And there was a growing theme around those impromptu strategy sessions, people would always come back and tell me they tried what I told them to do and it worked.
I solve the ‘but how do I get there’ problem for my clients.
Those who have a dream or even a working vision and are still trying to get to the destination they glued on their vision board. They call me. I help my clients get clear on where they are, get focused on where they want to be and then offer them directions to get there. Its like a GPS to their destination… success!
I don’t try to hide my personality. I am quick, witty, funny, a believer in Christ Jesus. All of that.
We might get on a strategy call and pray out, or I might crack a joke. I bring all of me into my work. And that is what makes me stand out. I am able to meet my clients needs because strategy is not a one-size-fits-all.
I am most proud of rebranding and narrowing my focus from all things branding to brand strategy. And for raising our two year old toddler while building a business and being a wife to my full time entreprnuer husband Reggie Winston.
I would like people to know that success is not a secret, its a strategy. And I’ve got one for them.
People can work with me in 1 of 3 ways:
1. The Process – a 1 on 1 strategy session
2. The Plan – 30, 60 or 90 day custom map to their desired goal
3. The Program – where I teach my framework so they can build their own successful brand strategy

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
You have to build your client experience with the same detail you build your offers.
From the moment people speak with you until their offboarding meeting you must do everything considering not just what they receive in exchange from paying you but what they encounter in exchange from working with you.
How your customers experience you is what matters.
And if that experience is grand, you will lock in loyalty.
And loyalty is not just getting people to come back, its getting them to come back with friends, advocating for you, becoming your marketing!

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
After giving birth to our daughter who is now two, I remember looking at her and deciding I would quit the branding industry. I remember saying out loud to her and to myself that being her mother was enough for me.
I was smitten to say the least.
Having a child, and raising that child to be a star in her own right while building, rebuilding and launching a business is hard work. Some days I got nothing done, some days I got everything done, but each day I tried.
I cried and tried.
Giving birth for me made me realize that there is nothing I cannot do. The emotions that come with bringing a child earthside are no joke, and thats my proudest and biggest bounce back story ever. The key is to not attempt to get the version of yourself back, but to fall in love with the new version and launch from there. I have to forego the search for balance and settle into a rhythm all on my own. And that is a shining moment for me.
