We recently connected with Jennifer Mabon and have shared our conversation below.
Jennifer, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Being a business owner can be really hard sometimes. It’s rewarding, but most business owners we’ve spoken sometimes think about what it would have been like to have had a regular job instead. Have you ever wondered that yourself? Maybe you can talk to us about a time when you felt this way?
There was a night I sat there exhausted—mentally and emotionally. I’d been pushing my business, posting, promoting… and it felt like nothing was moving. Orders slow, engagement low, bills still coming.
I remember thinking, “What if I just had a regular job?”
Clock in, clock out, steady check, no pressure.
For a moment, that felt peaceful.
But then I realized something—
even on my hardest days, I’m building something that belongs to me. My name is on it. My purpose is in it.
Am I happier as a business owner? Not every day.
Some days I get tired. Some days I question it.
But I don’t want easy… I want meaningful.
And this journey, hard as it is, means something.
So I keep going.

Jennifer, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m Chef Jennifer Mabon—entrepreneur, case manager, wife, and founder of 7EVEN SPICE LINE CO.
I started this business to solve a real problem: people want bold flavor without high sodium. Many seasonings are loaded with salt, so I created Natural Herbs Seasoning—an all-natural, No-sodium blend made with herbs, spices, and less than 2% pink Himalayan salt. It’s clean, flavorful, gluten-free, and made for everyday use.
What sets me apart is that this brand is personal. I’ve built it from the ground up—doing in-store demos, connecting directly with customers, and seeing firsthand how people respond. I’m not just selling a product, I’m offering a healthier alternative that doesn’t sacrifice taste.
I’m most proud of seeing my seasoning on store shelves and selling out, knowing it’s making an impact.
I want people to know this brand represents more than seasoning—it’s about health, purpose, and building something meaningful from nothing.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
One moment that tested me was after investing thousands into my first production run. Things didn’t go smoothly—there were issues that needed fixing, and communication was difficult. I felt stuck and questioned if I made the wrong move.
At the same time, life didn’t pause—work, family, and still trying to show up for my business.
But I didn’t quit. I stayed on it, pushed for answers, and made sure it got resolved.
When my product finally hit shelves and sold out, it meant more because of what I went through to get there.
That moment taught me—resilience is choosing not to stop, even when it gets hard.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
One lesson I had to unlearn was thinking I had to do everything myself.
Early on, I wore every hat because I felt no one would care like I do. But I became overwhelmed—balancing work, family, and business—and started missing opportunities.
That’s when I realized I wasn’t protecting my business, I was limiting it.
I began allowing help in small ways, and everything became more manageable.
I learned you can be the vision without being everything.
