Jeff, appreciate you joining us today. Is there a heartwarming story from your career that you look back on?
With my Reiki sessions, I have been able to help so many. Veterans, abused kids, abused animals and women in shelters are just some of those who have contacted me for some comfort. My Reiki sessions are very powerful as they help the Reiki recipient heal physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Before the Reiki begins to flow I always ask the recipient to remember a time when they felt their absolute best and strongest. With Reiki’s help, we will bring that feeling to the surface, where it rightfully belongs. I said this to a woman who was in a shelter, hiding out from her abuser. Through tears, she said she remembered that time in her life, and then said, “I was homeless and had my mattress to sleep on in an alley and my kitty. That’s when I felt my best.” I meet people where they are and let Reiki do the rest. The session was powerful and she was smiling ear to ear when it was over.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Before Reiki came into my life, I had intense hand pain due to no cartilage in my thumb joints. Hand surgeries were scheduled and cancelled later after Reiki took my pain away. I am on a mission to heal the world – one soul at a time. I am most proud of the many people and animals that I have been able to help. After one of my Reiki sessions, people have a noticeable glow about them. I am so grateful for the many transformations I have witnessed. I was first attuned to Reiki in January 2012 and have been on quite a journey since them by helping others heal in body, mind and spirit. My latest focus is on helping seniors. Joy fills my heart after a senior experiences Reiki for the first time and thanks me over and over again for how good they feel. It is my passion to ease the pain of others. Also, my Reiki classes are very powerful and have been called “life changing” by many. Sharing this amazing gift with others is what drives me.
Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
Leading with my heart is what has made me successful. Just like anything else, there is good and bad in any profession. Reiki is Love and I stay true to the Reiki precepts and people understand that when they meet me. I walk the talk of a spiritual advisor who always puts the needs of my clients ahead of my own. People pour their hearts out to me and I have learned to listen very deeply as opposed to wondering what I will say as a response. The best compliment a client gave me recently was, “Jeff Baird, you are the real deal.”
Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
“Medical Reiki” by Raven Keyes changed my life as I felt Reiki was finally getting the attention and recognition that it deserves. I was also fortunate to become a Medical Reiki Master after attending Raven’s class in 2022, before she passed away.
As a business owner of a Reiki practice, I strive to live by the Reiki precepts every single day.

In the past, I have built and managed large sales teams. I shared with my team to always expect the unexpected and make one more call when you think you are done for the day. Just one more call. You never know what might happen. Another thing I always told them was to “Be patient with your growth and urgent with your actions.”
