Hi Jasmine, thanks for joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
Beauty by A’meera was born from passion, purpose, and a love for helping others feel confident and beautiful. What started as a dream quickly became a vision—to create more than just beauty services and products, but an experience that empowers every woman to embrace her unique beauty.
My journey began with a genuine love for makeup, beauty, and self-expression. I’ve always believed beauty is more than what you see on the outside—it’s about confidence, self-love, and feeling your absolute best. What started with practicing my craft and perfecting my skills soon turned into a calling.

Building Beauty by A’meera has not always been a smooth road, but every challenge has shaped me into the entrepreneur I am today. Like many small business owners, I’ve faced moments of self-doubt, financial challenges, balancing personal life with business responsibilities, and learning how to wear multiple hats—from CEO to marketer to creator.
One of the biggest struggles was learning how to trust the process, especially during slow seasons or moments when things didn’t go as planned. There were times I questioned myself, my vision, and whether I was capable of building the brand I dreamed of. But those moments taught me resilience, patience, and perseverance.
Another challenge was building a brand from the ground up—creating something meaningful while staying authentic and consistent. It required sacrifice, late nights, dedication, and believing in my vision even when others couldn’t see it yet.
But every obstacle became a lesson, and every setback became motivation. Those struggles didn’t stop me—they pushed me harder. Today, I’m proud of how far Beauty by A’meera has come, and I know the journey is only making the brand stronger.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Building my audience on social media didn’t happen overnight. It was a journey of consistency, authenticity, and showing up even when it felt like no one was watching. When I started Beauty by A’meera, I focused on sharing my passion for beauty, my work, my products, and the story behind my brand. Instead of trying to be like everyone else, I learned that people connect most with genuine content and real experiences.
In the beginning, growth was slow. There were times when posts didn’t get much engagement, and it was easy to feel discouraged. However, I stayed committed to showing up, creating content, engaging with my audience, and continuing to improve my craft. Over time, people began to connect with my message, support my journey, and become loyal customers and followers.
One thing that helped me grow was understanding that social media is about building relationships, not just gaining followers. I made an effort to interact with people, respond to comments and messages, and create content that provided value, inspiration, and a glimpse into my entrepreneurial journey.
For anyone just starting out, my biggest advice is to be patient and stay consistent. Don’t focus solely on the numbers. Focus on creating quality content, telling your story, and being authentic. People are drawn to realness. Show your journey, celebrate your wins, share your challenges, and let your personality shine through.
Most importantly, don’t compare your beginning to someone else’s middle. Every successful brand started with zero followers at some point. Stay committed, trust the process, and keep showing up. Consistency, authenticity, and confidence in your vision will take you much further than chasing trends alone.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
For me, the best source of new clients has been word-of-mouth referrals and social media working together. There’s nothing more powerful than a satisfied client sharing their experience with friends, family, and their network. When someone trusts my work enough to recommend Beauty by A’meera, it creates a level of credibility that advertising alone can’t achieve.
Social media has also played a major role in helping me connect with new clients. By consistently sharing my work, showcasing products, engaging with my audience, and giving people a behind-the-scenes look at my business, I’ve been able to build trust and attract individuals who genuinely connect with my brand.
I’ve found that the combination of excellent customer service, quality work, and a strong online presence creates the best results. When clients have a great experience, they naturally become ambassadors for your brand, and that has been one of the most valuable ways I’ve continued to grow my business.
What I’ve learned is that every client interaction matters. Providing a positive experience doesn’t just create one customer—it can lead to many more through referrals, reviews, repeat business, and social media recommendations. That personal connection has been the foundation of my growth.
