Alright, Heather thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. One of the most important things we can do as business owners is ensure that our customers feel appreciated. What’s something you’ve done or seen a business owner do to help a customer feel valued?

As a business owner, showing your clients that you appreciate and understand them is HUGE. After all, without clients or customers, we wouldn’t have a profitable business.

What’s the best thing I’ve done to create an amazing customer or client experience? I invested in a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) platform. For me, I use Dubsado — this was the very first investment I made when I first started out, and I’ve used it every single day since.

Being someone who genuinely cares about the experience I provide my clients, I take great pride in creating automations that gives them that top-notch service WITHOUT burning yourself out.

Sure, you can copy and paste canned emails and send manual confirmation emails, follow ups and reminder emails all day. But, stop and think about how much time that is wasting YOU in your business.

As I started to dive deep into Dubsado, I realized the platform not only had the ability to host those canned emails, BUT had the ability to create workflows that would automatically send forms, contracts, follow ups and confirmation emails to my clients.

My name is Heather Quill and I consider myself the beauty and brains behind HQ Virtual Solutions. My business agency works closely with creative entrepreneurs and online service providers, by helping them find flexibility and simplicity in the chaos of their business.

I started this business in early 2020 (prior to Covid), after stress from my 9-5 corporate job was hitting me like a ton of bricks.

You see, my husband was battling cancer for the second time in 2 years, I was managing numerous projects at work and I was having a hard time watching those around me stressing over the little things to afford a good life. It was exhausting and I knew I needed a major change.

I started out as an online Virtual Assistant to assist other small business owners in the area, but once Covid hit, I redirected my business and figured out I had a “knack” for setting up systems, and ultimately creating efficiencies and automations for other business owners from all places of life.

At HQ Virtual Solutions, our number one goal is to create amazing processes and workflows WITHOUT burning yourself out. Where do you think you get most of your clients from?

We actually get a lot of our clients through referrals. As mentioned previously, we strive to provide a top-notch client experience. The more we provide that type of experience, the more our current and previous clients rave about it. Which, ultimately, puts more people in our door.

I’ve also seen amazing results from putting my name out there through publications, podcasts and other features along the way. The more I converse with others and provide free tips and tricks, the more other business owners are interested in working with us and see us as a leader in the industry.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

Passion. I’m passionate about what I do and why I do it. I’m thorough in explaining just how our services can HELP your business.

Unfortunately, I often see other business owners pushing their programs and services onto others without following through with what they promised. Honestly, that’s one of my biggest pet peeves.

I started this business agency, because I saw a gap in the industry and knew that the services and value I put out there (even if it’s for FREE) could not only make other’s businesses more efficient, but set them up for success without burning themselves out!
