We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Diamone Ricketts a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Diamone, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today How did you come up with the idea for your business?

When i was graduating fromcollege in 2018, my entire class was given an assignment/project to create a brand. This was a requirement for graduation and i was so lost. I was using all my knowledge,niches, and business tools to research steps to build a brand. Despite my disability and fun events, i would spend each day trying to perfect this project. I was reading textbooks related to business law, marketing communicatios ,consumer behavior, demographics, and digital platform tools. I was told my my professor that we would have to present this brand once it was put together. I didnt think this idea was going to work and that I wasnt going to do it. I wanted to graduate so I had to. I wanted to create not only a brand, but somethign that identified me and my crafts all in one for specific movement. Thats when Dynasty Tunes Global was born.

Diamone, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I didnt think in the we the this brand was for real getting registered through google,and was just a project.Dynasty Tunes Global is an entertainment agency that sells aparell, music engeniring service and any other entreprenuer service that i do. Additionally the brand represents to inspire Disability Awareness . I am now an Artist on IHeartradio for my instrumental tracks .Once i saw that my brand was on google, i felt proud and that the assignment was worth it. Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

All i can say is this when i was in college in 2015-2018, I had good days and i had bad days. There were other times where i told myselft on bad days “thats just life, you are not alone, everyone is trying .see?” I had moments where i was in my dorm drafting ideas to be ready to make the money or what to do.Up till now and knowing times has changed, the only phrases i remember being told “you only live once”. “The more you play the more you stay”. “You dont like where you are? do something about it.”

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

This answer is going to be short and i still say this. When it comes to business or career life. I gotta work smarter not harder make more money. I have to make sure I execute any personal business right before i jump into anything else or fun.
