We recently connected with Davalon Green and have shared our conversation below.
Davalon, appreciate you joining us today. The first dollar your firm earns is always special. We’d love to hear about how you got your first client that wasn’t a friend or family.
When I first got into real estate, I didn’t have a huge database or years of referrals — I had social media. I started showing up consistently, sharing valuable information about the market, posting homes, educating buyers and renters, and letting people see my real life as a mom and full-time agent. I wasn’t trying to be perfect; I was just being present and intentional. Over time, people began to trust me because they saw my consistency and authenticity. My first clients came directly from those posts — proof that when you show up, serve, and stay visible, social media can absolutely turn into real contracts and real closings.

Davalon, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Davalon Green, and I’m a licensed real estate agent serving the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex with Coldwell Banker Realty. I specialize in helping buyers, sellers, and renters navigate the market with clarity and confidence. Whether I’m guiding a first-time homebuyer, negotiating top dollar for a seller, or helping a family secure the right rental, my goal is always the same: to educate, advocate, and protect my clients at every step. I pride myself on strong communication, strategic negotiation, and creating a seamless experience that turns real estate goals into reality.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I truly believe that being down-to-earth, personable, relatable, and honest is what has helped me build my brand. I don’t try to be someone I’m not — I show up as myself, keep it real, and focus on serving people the right way. That authenticity has allowed me to genuinely connect with clients, earn their trust, and build lasting relationships that go far beyond just closing a transaction.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Social media and my sphere of influence have been the number one factors in gaining clientele and building my brand. By consistently showing up online, providing value, and staying connected to the people I know and serve, I’ve been able to turn everyday conversations into real opportunities. Relationships have always been at the center of my business, and leveraging both social platforms and my personal network has allowed me to grow organically and build a brand rooted in trust and visibility.
