Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Christine Nightingale. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Christine, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Earning a full time living from one’s creative career can be incredibly difficult. Have you been able to do so and if so, can you share some of the key parts of your journey and any important advice or lessons that might help creatives who haven’t been able to yet?
Earning a full-time living from my art is a process of overcoming discouragement which is an inevitable part of an artist’s life. It can be especially disheartening when you’ve spent months creating art pieces but see no results in sales, for example. However, I always try to go back to my true motivation and remind myself why I paint. I understand that some moments of despair are just a part of the process, and my time of success will inevitably come. Above all, I remind myself to enjoy the process and be grateful for what I have already accomplished.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m Christine Nightingale, a Chilean figurative meta-realist artist located in South Florida. I’ve been painting since my early childhood and started to create professionally in my 30s. I went to Design School in Brazil but painting and art have always been my true passion because I come from a family of artists. I create beautiful art pieces that have my unique style and perspective of the world. I’m proud of my origins and the work I have created by being a self-taught artist. I create emotional and thought-provoking pieces that are visually striking. My art leads the viewer towards awareness of self and their surroundings by exploring themes of connection between humans, nature, and our higher self. Most of my pieces are oils and acrylics on canvas, and I also have prints available. I’m also exploring the world of painting murals. I put the intention to heal and bring beauty through my art and cause curiosity, making the viewer wonder beyond what they perceive as reality. The world needs more magic and I want to bring this experience through what inspires me: connection.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist is overcoming the fear of being vulnerable and showing up as my real self through my art. It’s understanding that my voice can be heard and recognized by the people who resonate with it and that I don’t need everyone to like me but just the right ones. It’s so fulfilling to feel that other individuals relate deeply to something that seems so personal yet has a collective impact. It is rewarding to see that something that I created has the potential to inspire, heal, and bring beauty and awareness to someone else.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
“As an artist, I have a clear mission to inspire people to believe in their own creative power to create a beautiful reality. My art is a powerful tool to express my truth and promote collective truth and beauty. I am determined to use my art to heal and contribute to larger projects that can help us, our children, and nature have a better future on Earth. My art is a channel of light that gives voice to the unseen and higher realities, and I am confident in its ability to make a positive impact on the world.”
