We were lucky to catch up with Christi Gereau recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Christi , thanks for joining us today. Are you happier as a creative? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job? Can you talk to us about how you think through these emotions?
I’m happiest as both.
I’ve had what many would call “regular” jobs, and I excelled in them. I’ve always brought vision, discipline, and leadership into every environment I step into. But even then, there was a quiet voice inside me that would say, I should be the one running this. Not from ego — from clarity. I could see how ideas could expand, how systems could improve, how creativity could elevate everything.
Creativity doesn’t turn off just because you’re on someone else’s payroll.
The last time I had a traditional job was also the moment that confirmed I was never meant to stay in one.
I had been hit by a drunk driver while walking across the street. It was a serious moment — physically and emotionally. I was out of work for over a week healing. When I returned, I came back composed, polished, and professional. As a model, I’ve always understood presentation. Even with stitches, I carried myself with strength.
Shortly after I returned, a secretary quietly told me the owner had been gossiping about me in the back office. Instead of reacting emotionally, I walked straight into his office and asked him directly if he had been speaking about me.
He looked at me and said, “You don’t even look like you’re hurt.”
In that moment, everything became clear.
Strength can make people uncomfortable. Resilience can be misread. And I realized I was not built to shrink myself in environments that didn’t understand fortitude.
I calmly handed him my keys and said, “I quit.”
He replied, “You can’t do that.”
But I could. And I did.
That was the last time I entertained the idea of a regular job.
What I learned is this: I am happiest when I am creating, leading, building, and representing at the highest level. My artistry isn’t just modeling — it’s vision. It’s presence. It’s knowing my worth and honoring it.
Some people are meant to clock in.
I’m meant to step forward.
And I haven’t looked back since.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am an international fashion model and editorial artist with a deep reverence for the power of presence. My journey into the fashion industry was not accidental — it was a calling that unfolded through faith, resilience, and an unwavering belief that elegance has no expiration date.
As a mature professional model, I represent strength, refinement, and timeless femininity. In an industry that often focuses on youth, I stand as proof that beauty evolves — it deepens, it strengthens, and it becomes more intentional. I specialize in runway, print, editorial, and luxury brand representation. My work spans fashion campaigns, magazine features, designer collaborations, and brand ambassadorships, including providing sales representation for luxury houses such as Chanel and Donna Karan.
My proudest runway moment was walking in New York Fashion Week wearing a gown by Nubicollections and jewelry by Susan Horowitz. That moment affirmed that grace, preparation, and faith open doors at the highest levels of fashion.
What sets me apart is not simply my look — it is my presence. I understand that modeling is not posing; it is translating a designer’s vision into emotion. I bring emotional intelligence, discipline, and deep respect for every creative involved. Photographers, makeup artists, hair artists, stylists — they are not supporting roles; they are collaborators. Together, we create imagery that feels alive.
I solve a very specific need for brands: I help luxury houses connect with discerning, sophisticated audiences who value authenticity, elegance, and purchasing power. I embody the woman who invests in quality, who understands craftsmanship, and who wears fashion as language — not costume.
I am most proud of remaining faithful to who I am while expanding globally. I give God all the glory for the growth of my gifts and opportunities. My dream is to be featured in a Chanel campaign and to grace the cover of Vogue — not simply for visibility, but to redefine representation and inspire women to know that their season is never over.
For potential clients and collaborators, I want you to know this:
I do not simply wear garments. I honor them.
I do not simply show up. I prepare.
And I do not chase relevance. I embody timelessness.
My brand stands for elegance, excellence, faith, and feminine strength.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Yes — and it’s rooted in unwavering belief.
My creative journey is driven by knowing exactly who I am: intelligent, strong, beautiful, and a daughter of the Most High God. That foundation shapes everything I do. I move with intention because I believe I was sent into every room for a reason.
Unapologetically, I was born this way. No one can dictate how I should look, age, or exist in order to be happy, healthy, or free. At any size. At any age. At any moment in time. I know who I am — and I act like it.
Part of my mission is reminding women of their inherent beauty and power. If no one has told you today — you are beautiful. Not because of trends. Not because of approval. But because you are.
I also believe deeply that women of a certain age deserve to be centered in luxury. It makes sense. Women who have worked, built, sacrificed, and earned their success should see themselves reflected in high-end fashion and global campaigns. They have the wisdom, the confidence, and yes — the purchasing power — to embody the luxury brands I represent.
My work stands at the intersection of elegance, maturity, and presence.
I am not just modeling garments — I am modeling possibility.
I am a brand: Christi Gereau — The Glow of Elegance.
My mission is to expand what the world sees as aspirational beauty and to invite women to take up space unapologetically.
So ladies — take charge.
Show the world how it should be done.
