We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Chrissy Cavotta. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Chrissy below.
Hi Chrissy, thanks for joining us today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
My career in fashion and events began in 2011, and since then I’ve had the opportunity to produce and execute countless fashion shows and special events. While each project has been meaningful in its own way, some of the most impactful work I’ve done has been with WomenSafe, an emergency shelter and resource center supporting survivors of domestic violence in Northeast Ohio.
Being involved in several fundraiser fashion shows for this organization has been incredibly special to me because of the real difference it made in the lives of the women it serves. Not only were we able to raise critical funds to support their programs, but we also created a powerful moment for the survivors themselves—giving them the opportunity to step into the spotlight as featured models in the fashion show. Seeing these women feel beautiful, confident, and celebrated was truly unforgettable.
Continuing to incorporate meaningful charitable partnerships like this is something I’m passionate about and hope to expand as part of my events portfolio in the future.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Chrissy Cavotta—soon to be Chrissy Mickovic—and I am an Event Coordinator and Production Manager based in Cleveland, Ohio. I consider myself both a business owner and a creative, balancing the logistical side of event production with a passion for bringing unique experiences to life.
My journey began in 2011 when I opened Tre Sorelle Boutique in Little Italy. With encouragement from my Dad, I started hosting seasonal fashion shows as a way to promote the store. What began as a marketing idea quickly grew into something much bigger—a passion for producing events and creating platforms for creativity and connection.
Although I closed the boutique in 2018, I continued producing fashion shows under the name Tre Sorelle Events. In 2023, I went through a rebrand and launched Events by Chrissy Cavotta, expanding my portfolio beyond fashion shows to include networking mixers, themed parties, and food-centric events—while still staying true to my roots in fashion production.
What sets me apart is my strong belief in collaboration over competition. In a city like Cleveland, where the fashion and events community is incredibly tight-knit, building relationships and supporting one another is essential.
Above all, I’m most proud of my resilience. Through the many ebbs and flows that come with entrepreneurship, I’ve remained true to who I am and have always strived to navigate challenges with poise, grace, and integrity.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My motto is, “You’re not truly impressive until you’ve truly impressed yourself.” It’s a philosophy that drives the way I approach every event and fashion show I produce. With each project, my goal is simple: raise the bar higher than the last. By constantly challenging myself to surpass my own work, I stay accountable to my standards of creativity, innovation, and quality—ensuring that every experience I create feels fresh, cutting-edge, and thoughtfully executed.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being a creative is the positive impact it can have on others. Whether it’s hearing from someone who truly enjoyed an event, a model telling me their confidence grew after walking in one of my runway shows, or inspiring someone who is trying to break into the industry—those moments mean everything. Creativity has the power to uplift people and create opportunities, and being able to contribute to someone else’s confidence, inspiration, or joy is incredibly fulfilling. There’s really nothing quite like the feeling of knowing you’ve helped fill someone else’s cup and knowing something you created helped uplift someone else.
