Carole, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
Pawsitively Pure Dog Food was started in 2017 after a major pet food recall.
We started in our kitchen using the finest purest ingredients in our human grade food recipes.
Our dogs are a major part of our family and their health and well-being is one of our highest considerations. We want the same for your dogs as we know their importance as part of the family.
We pride ourselves on the highest levels of customer service using only natural ingredients, with your dog in mind. We use only the finest ingredients in our foods using human grade products and non GMO’s.
All of our recipes are lab tested and AAFCO approved. Our Dog Food comes in 3 flavors, Chicken & Vegetables, Beef & Turkey, it is nutrient dense providing better nutrition to your dog’s diet.
We offer 2 flavors of bone broth for dogs in chicken & beef flavors; bone broth is a nutrition powerhouse for dogs. We call it a supplement in a bag for dogs. Our organic dog treats are Peanut Butter & Pumpkin & Chicken Crisps.

Pawsitivley Pure Dog Food was started due to all of the recalls on dog food, We started making small batch recipes in our kitchen to ensure our dogs were receiving the highest quality human grade dog food using human grade ingredients,
I hired a vet nutritionist to ensure the recipes met and exceed all of the industry standards set by AFFCO and received our approvals to submit our recipes through the Dept of Agriculture, after several recipes, were developed and approved we began to work on our branding and marketing, We started selling at The Lake Mary Farmers Market, The Maitland Market and Winter Park Farmers markets to receive the most local exposure for our Brand, We continued to develop more recipes besides our Human Grade Dog Food, Pawsitively Pure Dog Food offers Bone Broth for dogs in Chicken & Beef Flavor as well as our Organic Peanut Butter Treats & Chicken Crisps. We continue to work on new recipes ensuring our dog customers and dog parents the highest quality ingredients we can source locally using the very best ingredients,
Over the years we have heard for our customers how healthy their dogs are and have become as well how much they love the food, We still sell through our favorite Farmers Markets every weekend at Lake Mary, Maitland & Winter Park as well as through our website offering local delivery to your door.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
We continue to advertise in Local magazines and use social media and platforms such as Facebook & Instagram. I have a wonderful person that is able to help me utilize all of those platforms and marketing strategies, as I am always cooking and continue to develop the food and fill the orders in a timely manner.
