We recently connected with Bri Collins and have shared our conversation below.
Bri, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about the things you feel your parents did right and how those things have impacted your career and life.
When I think about what my parents did right, the list is long—but it starts with how they raised me to love the Lord and do right by people. My entire life, I have never—not once—heard my dad tell a lie. Not even a small one. That kind of integrity leaves a mark. They taught me that truth matters, character matters, and your work ethic is something no one can ever take from you. The values they lived out every single day shaped who I am, how I treat others, and the standard I hold myself to. I am who I am because of what they modeled.

Bri, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
For those who may not know me yet, my name is Bri Collins. I am a Family Nurse Practitioner and the founder of BCRN Aesthetics. We are a medical aesthetics practice in Houston, TX, built on integrity, clinical excellence, and a deep passion for helping people feel confident in their own skin. My journey into this industry was a little accidental. Rewind 18 years ago – I was a single mom, nurse working in the CCU/IMCU and a friend mentioned an opportunity she had heard about to work part time in this place called a “medspa”. I had no clue what that even was at the time. But they needed nurses, and I needed extra income. I quickly fell in love with the field. I’ve always been drawn to the intersection of science, artistry, and patient care. Long before aesthetics became “popular,” I saw its potential to blend evidence-based medicine with meaningful, confidence-building results.
At BCRN Aesthetics, we specialize in injectable treatments, regenerative aesthetic therapies, skincare solutions, ultrasound-guided safety practices, and comprehensive patient education. But the real service we provide goes beyond procedures—we solve the problem of uncertainty in an industry where patients often don’t know who to trust or what they’re truly receiving. We prioritize transparency, evidence-based care, and creating an environment where patients feel both safe and understood.
What sets us apart is the combination of clinical rigor and heart. We treat aesthetics like medicine because it is medicine. Our team operates with the mindset that every patient deserves honest guidance, a customized plan, and outcomes that honor their natural features. We don’t chase trends; we chase excellence.
I am most proud of the culture we’ve built—one rooted in integrity, education, and consistent results. I’m proud that our patients trust us with their faces, their confidence, and their long-term well-being. I’m also proud of the way we invest in training and elevating other providers in this industry, raising standards one injector at a time.
Above all, I want potential clients and followers to know this: we genuinely care. We care about your goals, your safety, your experience, and your long-term outcomes. We care about doing things the right way. And we care about offering treatments that are grounded in truth—not hype.
BCRN isn’t just a med spa. It’s a practice built on values, clinical excellence, and the belief that confidence is one of the most powerful gifts we can give our patients.

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
Other than training and clinical knowledge, the most important ingredient for success in aesthetics is integrity. Skill can be taught, but character is what determines how you use that skill. Our field is flooded with trends, pressure, social media comparison, and a constant push to “sell,” but the providers who truly succeed long-term are the ones who stay grounded in honesty, transparency, and doing what’s right for the patient – even when it’s not the easiest or most profitable choice.
Equally important is emotional intelligence. Aesthetics is deeply personal. You’re not just treating a face- you’re caring for the person behind it. Understanding people, listening intently, communicating clearly, and creating a space where patients feel safe and respected… those are the things that build trust and loyalty. Patients may come in for a treatment, but they stay because they trust your heart.
And finally, you need resilience and work ethic. This industry moves fast. Techniques evolve, products improve, and patient expectations rise. Success requires consistency, humility, and the willingness to keep growing. Some of the most valuable lessons come from showing up on the hard days, learning from mistakes, and never cutting corners.
In short:
Knowledge gives you the tools.
Integrity, empathy, and resilience determine what you build with them.

Have you ever had to pivot?
One of the biggest pivots in my life and career happened during a season when everything felt like it was hitting all at once. I was pregnant at 41, finally carrying the baby we had prayed for and worked toward through 2.5 years of IVF. It was a high-risk pregnancy, I was trying to finish graduate school, and at the same time I realized I was going to have to move my office. It felt impossible—personally, emotionally, and professionally.
We had to start a full build-out of a brand-new office while I was preparing to bring a baby into the world and balancing school, clinicals, and all the pressures that come with running a medical practice. I thought that would be the hard part… but shortly after giving birth, I was forced to return to work much sooner than expected due to unexpected dishonest behavior from former friends and employees. It was heartbreaking on many levels. The timing could not have felt worse, and the weight of it all was overwhelming.
But here’s the part I hold onto: what felt like one of the most painful setbacks became one of the biggest blessings in disguise. The new office space—born out of chaos, stress, and necessity—became a huge success. It allowed us to rebuild stronger, create a healthier culture, and step into a new chapter with clarity and purpose. Today, we are still thriving in that very space.
Looking back, that season taught me that sometimes the pivots we never planned become the exact turning points we needed. What felt like the worst thing at the worst possible time ended up being the catalyst for growth, stability, and the kind of success I couldn’t see from the middle of the storm. It reminded me that resilience, faith, and integrity really can carry you through anything—and that blessings often come wrapped in circumstances we would never choose.
