We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Brandon Andrews. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Brandon below.
Alright, Brandon thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Do you feel you or your work has ever been misunderstood or mischaracterized? If so, tell us the story and how/why it happened and if there are any interesting learnings or insights you took from the experience?
I think one of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is being misunderstood as a creative. A lot of people see me as just a college graduate, career professional, a wrestler, or just an artist, depending on what they were introduced to first.
With HotHead BA, they see intensity, aggression, and performance. With WRISTGANG BA, they see creativity, visuals, and music. What people don’t always realize is that both are intentional they’re two sides of the same vision.
Early on, that disconnect made it harder for people to fully understand what I was building. Some people thought I was switching lanes instead of expanding, or that I needed to choose one path. But for me, it was never separate. Wrestling, music, and storytelling all connect because it’s one universe.
What I learned from that is not to rely on immediate understanding or validation. If the vision is clear to you, you have to stay consistent and let the work speak over time. Eventually, people start to see the bigger picture.
Now, instead of trying to simplify what I do to fit expectations, I focus on building it out fully. Being misunderstood in the beginning actually helped me stay locked in on creating something original.

Brandon, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m a multimedia artist and emerging professional wrestler creating under two identities, WRISTGANG BA and HotHead BA.
I started as an artist first. Music, visuals, and creative expression were my foundation, and that’s where I began building WRISTGANG as a brand. Over time, I realized I wanted a more physical and immersive way to tell stories and connect with people and that led me to professional wrestling. I officially began my wrestling journey in May, and it’s been an extension of everything I was already creating.
Academically, I’ve always been disciplined and focused. I attended The University of Southern Mississippi and earned my Bachelor’s Degree in 2015 with a 3.8 GPA and my Master’s Degree in 2018 with a 3.9 GPA. That same level of commitment carries over into everything I do creatively and professionally.
What I do now is bring those worlds together. WRISTGANG BA represents the creative side with music, visuals, and storytelling, while HotHead BA is that same energy brought to life in the ring. It’s not separate identities, it’s one vision expressed in different forms.
I create content, performances, and experiences that people can follow and connect with. Whether it’s a track, a visual, or stepping into the ring, the goal is always to make people feel something and stay tapped into the journey.
What sets me apart is that I’m building with intention. I didn’t just step into wrestling randomly. I brought an existing creative vision into it. Every move, every performance, and every piece of content is part of something bigger that I’m developing over time.
What I’m most proud of is having the confidence to expand instead of staying in one lane. Starting in music and stepping into wrestling took risk, but it allowed me to grow into a more complete performer and creator.
What I want people to understand is that this is just the beginning. HotHead BA is the beginning, and WRISTGANG BA is the evolution of that vision. I’m focused on building something that lasts, reaching bigger platforms, and creating a brand that people can follow long-term.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding part about being an artist or creative is the ability to turn ideas into something real that people can feel and connect with.
For me, it’s about expression and impact. Starting out in music and now expanding into wrestling, I’ve been able to take what’s in my head (i.e. thoughts, emotions, vision etc.) and bring it to life in different forms. Whether it’s a track, a visual, or stepping into the ring, there’s nothing like seeing something you created resonate with someone else.
It’s also rewarding to see the growth. Every project, every performance, every piece of content is a step forward. You start to see your vision come together over time, and that’s something nobody can take from you.
More than anything, it’s the freedom to create your own lane. I’m not limited to one path, I can evolve, expand, and build something that’s represents the family. That’s what makes it worth it.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My main mission is to build something that lasts and create a brand that connects across multiple forms of expression. I’m really a jack-of-all-trades. I started as an high school athlete, became a college graduate, then an artist, and now as I step into professional wrestling, my goal is to merge creativity, performance, and storytelling into one unified vision.
I’m driven by the idea of being a positive and real role model for the past, current, and future generations to look up to. Also, I’m driven by the idea of making my family proud and creating our own lane. I don’t want to be limited to one identity or one platform. I want WRISTGANG BA and HotHead BA to grow into something people can follow, connect with, and be inspired by worldwide for a lifetime.
Another big part of my mission is showing that you don’t have to stay in one box. I’m a college graduate with both a bachelor’s and master’s degree, and I’ve chosen to pursue a creative path while also stepping into wrestling. I want people to see that you can be disciplined, educated, and still chase something unconventional.
Ultimately, I’m building towards long-term impact (ie. creating content, performances, and experiences) that evolves over time and leaves a lasting impression. This is just the beginning, and everything I’ve been doing all the way up to now is laying the foundation for something bigger.
