We recently connected with Bella D and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Bella thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
I’ve always been drawn to beautiful details — the kind that make people pause. Elegant gatherings, delicate desserts, the feeling of walking into a space that feels curated and intentional. But I also noticed something: so many celebrations felt either over-the-top or completely impersonal. There wasn’t much in between. I kept thinking, Why does luxury have to feel inaccessible? Why can’t something be both refined and heartfelt?
The idea for Rose + Macaron came together during a season where I was craving something of my own — something creative, something tangible, something that felt like an extension of my aesthetic and values. I started experimenting with the concept of elevated, boutique-style dessert experiences — not just selling sweets, but creating moments. Something that felt romantic, polished, and Instagram-worthy, yet still intimate and meaningful.
There’s a moment when an idea shifts from “this would be cute” to “this could actually be something.” For me, that shift happened when I realized how strong the emotional response was when people saw beautifully styled macarons and floral pairings. Their faces lit up. They took photos. It wasn’t just dessert — it was an experience.
That’s when I knew this wasn’t just a hobby idea. It had weight.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Bella and I’m the owner of Rose + Macaron. I studied business at Emory University and I always had a passion for entrepreneurship. I started Rose + Macaron after COVID. Rose + Macaron also crafts custom macaron and floral arrangements for anniversaries, baby showers, birthdays, bridal parties, holidays, weddings, etc. All gift box collections feature fresh roses and authentic French macarons, each beautifully wrapped in chic stationary for an unforgettable presentation.
Rose + Macaron values community, which is why the best ingredients come from small businesses in Atlanta, GA.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
When I started Rose + Macaron, I didn’t have a massive following. I had a vision. I built my audience on social media through consistency and brand cohesion. Same color palette. Same tone. Same mood. That repetition builds recognition. Over time, people began associating a certain aesthetic with Rose + Macaron before even seeing the name. Also, engaging with your audience is a MUST.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Without a doubt — referrals.
Some of our strongest growth has come from past clients telling their friends, planners recommending us to brides, photographers tagging us in styled shoots, and venues sharing our displays. When someone sees Rose + Macaron in person — the setup, the attention to detail, the aesthetic — it makes a lasting impression. And that impression turns into word-of-mouth momentum.
