We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Austin Bridges a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Austin , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
Would have to be the Album i’m working on now. “Send Me Flowers” a Rock/Alternative Album.
With this project i really wanted to make music I wanted to hear, I feel i’ve put myself in a creative box in the past trying to please what’s cool. This album completely steps away from that

Austin , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I grew up in Ypsilanti to Michigan. Music was all i knew most of my childhood, growing up in poverty and having parents who didn’t make the best choices it’s was all I had.
I’ve always known i stood out and could really make an impact with my music. These last couple years of my career have shown me what’s possible my and i’m ready to make my presence known in this industry
In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
Everyone is so stuck in their phones and their own lives. All it takes in today’s day of time and technology is 2 seconds to like or maybe even comment on someone’s post to help engagement.
It’s hard enough getting people to come outside and network/support us up and coming artist. A lot of my shows starting out were free admission and i still couldn’t pull ticket sales. I just wish the world would connect with one another again

Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
The Bible and following Jesus have been my biggest supports in this journey. I truly believe you can do all things thru Christ, and I have seen him show up in my life time and time again.
You don’t need a bunch of books to learn something in this life. If people would open up to God themselves, read the bible, and get back in touch with community the world would be a much better place. We were made for human interaction, we were made to go thru this life and all its trials together. The bible says “Love Thy Neighbor”
