We recently connected with Antonia Sitak and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Antonia thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. How did you learn to do what you do? Knowing what you know now, what could you have done to speed up your learning process? What skills do you think were most essential? What obstacles stood in the way of learning more?
I didn’t learn acting through just one path — it’s really been a combination of formal training, on-set experience, and a lot of self-exploration. I’ve taken classes, worked with coaches, and learned a great deal simply by doing — by being on set, auditioning, and observing others.
Looking back, I think what would have sped up my learning process is trusting my instincts earlier. In the beginning, I was more focused on “doing it right” instead of allowing myself to be present and truthful.
The most essential skills, in my opinion are deep listening and allowing yourself to be affected. Technique matters, of course, but without authenticity, it doesn’t translate. Being able to stay open, vulnerable, and connected — both to yourself and your scene partner — is key.
One of the biggest obstacles was overthinking and self-doubt. Especially early on, I sometimes got in my own way by trying to meet expectations instead of fully inhabiting the character.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My journey into acting wasn’t something that happened overnight — it evolved over time through a deep curiosity about people, storytelling, and human behavior. I’ve always been drawn to emotionally driven narratives and characters that feel real and relatable.
I’m committed to growth and to bringing honesty into every role I take on. I’m not interested in surface-level performances — I want to create moments that people can truly feel. I’m especially grateful for my career that reaches across different cultural and industry contexts. And I am very much looking forward to continuing to expand my work internationally.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Acting allows me to step into different lives, perspectives, and emotional realities, and in doing so, to reflect something back to the audience that feels true to their own experience. There’s something incredibly powerful about a moment on screen where someone feels seen, understood, or even challenged in a meaningful way.
I also find it deeply fulfilling that this work requires constant growth — not just professionally, but personally. You’re continuously exploring yourself, your emotions, your perceptions of the world. It’s a process that demands honesty and vulnerability, and at the same time builds resilience and awareness.
Another rewarding aspect is collaboration. Film and storytelling are never created in isolation, and I value the creative exchange that happens between actors, directors, and the entire team. Those shared moments of building something together often lead to results that are much greater than what any one person could create alone.

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
I believe that encouraging creativity from an early age, and making art accessible to diverse audiences, helps build a culture that values storytelling and expression. The more people engage with art, the stronger the entire ecosystem becomes.
Also a thriving creative ecosystem depends on trust — trusting artists to explore, to question, and to reflect society in honest and sometimes uncomfortable ways. When that space exists, art can truly fulfill its role.
