We recently connected with Aniya Burke and have shared our conversation below.
Aniya, appreciate you joining us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
I remember being in the second grade when my teacher paired classmates together for a “who, what, when, where” type of skit. The challenge was to freestyle without using words. After watching what the other groups created, I wanted to try something different. I shared my idea with my partner, and once we performed our skit, something new awakened in me that I didn’t even know a seven-year-old could feel.
That moment sparked my love for the arts.
Throughout school, improv became my favorite form of expression, and over time I realized it was something I was naturally good at. As the years went on, my god sisters and I were often asked to dance for special church events and important services, sometimes at the last minute. We would create full routines, practice intensely for 30 to 45 minutes, and have everything memorized and ready to perform days later… sometimes even the very next day.
By the age of 15, I knew there was a special joy in being on stage and creating performances. I began auditioning and even received professional callbacks from talent agencies. The feeling I had during those moments was unexplainable, but I knew deep down that it was where I belonged.
Unfortunately, at that time my parents weren’t in a financial position to fully support the dreams I wanted to pursue. Even so, I continued to move forward, participating in numerous local modeling and acting opportunities into my adulthood.
Those experiences shaped me. They taught me resilience, creativity, and how to prepare for the unexpected. Today, they’ve strengthened my ability to plan, adapt, and confidently step into every opportunity that comes my way.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am Aniya Faith — an actress, model, and singer with over 12 years of stage and artistic experience. When I step on stage, I bring a presence and life to characters that captivates audiences. I’m highly adaptable, directable, and flexible, making it easy to collaborate and bring any vision to life.
Off stage, I serve as a continuity specialist or in other words Creative director for photoshoots, ministry projects, and creative productions. My role is to help create the environment where you can truly show up as your best self. From perfecting angles and wardrobe details to guiding facial expressions and poses, I help ensure that every element reflects you — because no one can be you better than you.
Even if you’ve never done a photoshoot beyond group photos, that’s exactly why I’m here. With patience and intention, I help bring your look and vision to life while allowing you to feel comfortable and confident.
My goal is simple: help you think less and just be. I work closely with photographers — whether it’s your choice or mine to ensure every detail supports the vision.
What I’m most proud of is helping take a vision and execute it beautifully.
Let’s create something unforgettable!

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being a creative for me is seeing the vision that was once only in my head become something tangible. After pushing my limits whether mentally, physically, or spiritually it surprises me every time.
There’s something powerful about watching an idea come to life right in front of you. And after going through that whole process, the finished product always feels sweeter because of everything it took to bring it to life.

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
To me, sometimes simply showing up makes all the difference. Whether someone invests financially or not, their presence alone can mean so much. When artists create, we’re not just presenting a finished product, we’re sharing a moment that represents countless hours of dedication, growth, and hard work.
Being there allows you to witness both the private and public victories behind the art. Your support, your attention, and your presence remind creatives that what they’re building matters. Sometimes the greatest encouragement isn’t money — it’s simply knowing that someone cared enough to show up and experience the moment with you.
