We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Amy Marietta. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with amy below.
Amy, appreciate you joining us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
I think creativity has always been a part of who I am. Growing up, I found so much joy in going to Michaels (the craft store) and picking out things to create with. I’ve always been someone who notices the beauty in everyday moments (romanticizing life, if you will) and wants to hold onto them indefinitely. I loved taking photos and scrapbooking because it felt like a way to immortalize those memories, like I could preserve a feeling and never forget it. Over time, that evolved into writing a blog, which became another creative outlet to express myself and share my world with others. And the evolution continues as the world changes:)
I thrive when I’m creating, and it’s always felt like the most natural expression of who I am.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
I’m a lifestyle travel creator and disco mirror artist focused on storytelling, design, and creating experiences that inspire people to see beauty in everyday life. My creative journey started with photography and blogging as a way to express myself and share my perspective with the world. What began as documenting moments naturally evolved into a career centered around travel, creativity, and design.
Today, my work spans lifestyle and travel content, creative direction, and custom disco mirror art installations. As a content creator, I partner with hotels, tourism boards, and brands to create visually compelling, story driven content that inspires people to explore and experience new places. I’m known for creating detailed travel itineraries and content that not only inspires but also helps people plan meaningful, memorable experiences.
As a disco mirror artist (A.M.CLUB Studio), I design custom sculptures and installations that transform spaces and create a sense of wonder, movement, and joy. My pieces range from statement sculptures to large scale installations for hotels, events, brands, and private clients. I love creating art that interacts with light and environment, turning spaces into immersive experiences.
I help clients stand out by creating work that is both visually striking and emotionally resonant. My background in storytelling allows me to think beyond aesthetics, focusing on how something feels, how it photographs, and how it lives within a space or across digital platforms. This intersection of content, storytelling, and design is what sets my work apart.
I’m most proud of building a creative career that blends multiple passions into one cohesive brand. Whether I’m designing a sculpture or creating content, my goal is always the same: to create something meaningful, inspiring, and memorable while fostering a deeper sense of connection between people, places, and ideas.
At the heart of my work is a belief in romanticizing life, embracing creativity, and finding beauty in the world around us. I want potential clients, followers, and collaborators to know that everything I create is thoughtful, intentional, and rooted in a genuine love for creativity and storytelling.

Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
Read The Artists Way by Julia Cameron (and be sure to do the workbook), Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert, and The Secret by Rhonda Byrne.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
One of the biggest pivots in my life came when I decided to step away from the traditional corporate path and fully embrace a creative career. It wasn’t a single moment, but a series of bold moves that required trusting myself and being willing to start over more than once.
I grew up in Southern California and later moved to New York City, where I also went to college and worked at a social media agency. Living in New York pushed me creatively and professionally. It was fast paced, inspiring, and gave me valuable experience in storytelling, branding, and content, but it also made me realize I wanted to build something of my own.
From there, I moved to Miami to work at a beauty company. While the role initially felt like an exciting opportunity, I quickly realized the work environment was toxic. That experience became a turning point for me. It forced me to reevaluate what I wanted from my career and the kind of life I wanted to build. I knew I didn’t want to stay in environments that didn’t align with my values or creativity.
Eventually, I moved back to Los Angeles and made the decision to leave corporate life altogether. Walking away from stability was intimidating, but I trusted that I could create something more aligned with who I was.
Looking back, each move from Southern California to New York, to Miami, and back to Los Angeles was a pivot that shaped my perspective and career. Those experiences taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of trusting myself. They ultimately led me to build a creative career centered around storytelling, travel, and art, and reinforced my belief that sometimes the biggest pivots are what lead you exactly where you’re meant to be.
