We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Abel. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Abel below.
Abel , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your business sooner or later
I opened up my barbershop Mvne society Headquarters at the beginning of this year (February, 2026). Before opening up my barbershop I had a studio for the past 12 years and even though I loved the studio life I felt like it was time to level up and do something that challenged me some more. The timing was perfect I believe that you are where you are for a reason whether it be sooner or later. life is always teaching you something or forcing you to level up.

Abel , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Abel Hernández , though most people know me as AB the Barber. I’ve been in the grooming industry for 16 years, but what I really do goes far beyond haircuts.
At first I got in the industry because i was drawn to transformation and I’ve always loved looking sharp and clean myself. I’ve always been fascinated by how grooming changes the way a man carries and feels about himself. A haircut isn’t just maintenance. It’s identity. It’s presence. It’s confidence. It’s the difference between walking into a room and owning it.
What started as just doing something that I loved eventually became a vision. Over time, I realized I wasn’t just building clientele — I was building culture. That’s what led me to create MVNE Society Headquarters, a luxury grooming space designed around intentionality, experience, and elevation.
At MVNE Society, we don’t rush appointments. We don’t stack chairs for volume. We don’t operate on chaos.
We focus on:
• Precision grooming
• Elevated atmosphere
• The Details
• Relationship-driven service
I believe time should be respected — not rushed.
The problems I solve for clients go deeper than uneven fades or beard bulk. I help men:
• Look intentional instead of accidental
• Feel sharp before important moments
• Develop consistency in their appearance
• Elevate their personal brand
• Build confidence that carries into business and relationships
What I’m most proud of is not the shop, the logo, or even the client list.
I’m proud that I built something from skill — and turned it into vision.
I’m proud that my clients trust me with their image.
I’m proud that I’ve evolved from a barber to founder.
And I’m proud that MVNE Society represents more than grooming — it represents growth & Elevation.
For potential clients and followers, I want you to know:
This is not just a barbershop.
This is not just content.
This is not just branding.
This is intention.
Everything from the way the space looks to the way appointments are structured to the way clients are greeted is designed to create a premium, calm, environment where men feel elevated.
If you sit in my chair, you’re not just getting cleaned up.
You’re stepping into a higher standard.
And we’re just getting started.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
its consistency. Consistent with my haircuts, consistent with my customer service, consistent with good communication, consistent with professionalism.
I hold my self to a certain standard and I give my all to every customer that walks through that door.
I treat every one as if it was my first time cutting their hair and I’m still trying to earn their business all over again. even if it’s clients that’s I’ve been cutting for years.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
One of the biggest pivots in my life happened when I realized I had outgrown the version of success I once prayed for.
For years, I worked inside a private studio suite. It was safe. It was predictable. I had control over my space, my clients, my environment. From the outside, it looked like I had “made it.” Steady income. Loyal clientele. Freedom.
But internally, I felt something shifting. An itch in me that told me I need to think bigger.
I started realizing I was thinking too small. I wasn’t just a barber anymore — I was a brand builder, a visionary, someone who wanted to create an experience bigger than one chair and four walls.
That’s when the pivot happened.
Instead of asking, “How do I stay comfortable?” I started asking, “What would this look like if it was 10x bigger?”
That mindset shift led me to start building something larger — a headquarters, not just a studio. A space designed with intention. A place where other barbers could grow. A brand built on exclusivity, experience, and legacy — not just appointments.
The pivot wasn’t just physical — it was mental.
• From a barber to entrepreneur
• From renting space to building infrastructure
• From serving clients to leading a
It required more risk.
More responsibility.
More faith.
More financial structure.
More leadership.
But it also required me to let go of the identity that got me here.
That’s the hardest part of any pivot — releasing the version of you that worked… for the version of you that’s next.
And I’m still in that pivot.
